"I visited the restaurant and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience. The service we received was unwelcoming and disrespectful. I also believe because me and my friend were of different race we were discriminated against. Also, the food quality did not meet our expectations. The beef patty was dry and lacking in flavor, and the goat dish was overcooked and tough. The man behind the counter also stared down without stating how much the food was and didn't give correct pricing. Overall, it was a letdown on both fronts service and food quality. I would give no stars if I were able to."

Love the food but when ordering my oxtails which I actually love from here they only gave me 4 or 5 oxtails when they use to give more , I mean why charge so much if they gonna be so skimpy with a plate full of rice View menu

Got a med oxtails rice and peas and 2 drinks… $35. The guy was nice place was clean, but the food was very very bland. The rice was even bland. No island flavor. It’s a bodega next door they have oxtails too. Or the Caribbean spot down the road. Not going

Sadly Jackee's is closing down. The woman who runs it had invested her whole life savings into it and has lost everything.I would be interested in starting a gofundme to help get her back on her feet. Does anyone know how to start and publicize one? I'll pledge the first $1000. View menu

I am very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The Med Oxtail dish with 4 oxtails was not good at all, the rice and beans were bland and tasteless, and the veggies were forgettable. The plantains were okay, but you can't really mess those up. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

This restaurant offers delicious and authentic Jamaican dishes. The customer service is excellent, and the restaurant is always clean. It's great to support a local business in the Middle Island Coram area that specializes in Jamaican cuisine, as there aren't many options in Suffolk County. They also offer tasty freshly made drinks to enjoy with your meal.

"Delicious Food, one of the best skirt steaks I 've ever had! La Bonita has a lot of buzz from the Facebook group Long Island Food and Drink . I 've seen so many positive reviews, I had to try it for myself! This restaurant is small but the flavor it packs is phenomenal. Located in a strip mall in Coram, there 's plenty of parking. It 's between a Dunkin Donuts a movie theater. The prices were great. Where else could I get a $22 skirt steak cooked to absolute perfection? The drinks were also moderately priced. $11 or $12 gets you a huge margarita! The service was friendly but not over the top. The ticket times were great, I didn 't have to wait long. I was served chips salsa immediately upon entering. I was able to get water drink refills as needed. They have mostly indoor seating with 2 or 3 tables outside. The staff were wearing masks and following social distancing guidelines. They accept reservations which is a plus. The drinks were great! There aren 't many specialty drink options, mostly margaritas. They were served in huge margarita glasses. I had 2 La Bonita 's and thoroughly enjoyed them. The food was delicious and exceeded all expectations! Some of the specials I 've seen them offer online weren 't available while I was there, like the chicharron churros which was disappointing. I was only given the regular menu. I will be reviewing what I tried: -Complimentary Chips Salsa! -Guacamole Appetizer: Comes in a large bowl and great for sharing. Tasty but certainly not the best I 've ever had. The ingredients were fresh and the guac was creamy. Overall this was good not great. 3.5 out of 5 stars -Platanos Appetizer: Comes with 7 pieces and sour cream. Really enjoyed these! 4.5 out of 5 stars -Fundido: Ordered this as an appetizer with steak. Quite possibly my favorite dish of the night! Perfectly seasoned steak mixed with greasy melted cheese and wrapped in a warm tortilla, nothing better than that! Comes with 4 tortillas and served in a small cast iron skillet. 5 out of 5 stars -La Bonita Skirt Steak: Nice sized piece of perfectly cooked steak for $22. Comes with refried beans with cheese, rice, a small side of pico de gallo. I asked for medium rare and they nailed it! The steak was so juicy and the marinade they use was awesome. I 100% recommend this entree to any steak lover. This steak was better than expensive steak houses I 've been too! 5 out of 5 stars -Flan: Disappointing that churros weren 't being offered but the flan was a great second choice. A great way to end a tasty dinner. 5 out of 5 stars -Fried Ice Cream: I tried the vanilla fried ice cream with Oreo coating. It was served in a mini cast iron skillet. It was super tasty and reminded me of something I would order at a carnival. 4.5 out of 5 stars Overall, La Bonita had great food. I 'll definitely be back for more of that skirt steak fundido."
