"This is my second visit, and it will likely be my last. I was left disappointed. The flavors were bland, including their salsa. I tried the chiles rellenos, quesadillas, grilled cheese, guacamole, and pumpkin soup. The pumpkin soup was definitely the highlight and quite good. Unfortunately, the rest seemed to be made from subpar ingredients that don't reflect authentic Mexican cuisine. The grilled cheese was breaded and served with sauce, which was not appealing. The chiles rellenos came with a tasteless, watery sauce that spoiled the dish (the same sauce served with the grilled cheese). The restaurant's interior is outdated and lacks creative decor. In summary, this place feels devoid of culinary passion."

Always good and everyone is very friendly. One of my favorite restaurants. Eaten there for many, many years.

The food was excellent, with plenty of gluten-free options that are safe for those with celiac disease. The staff were very friendly and professional. View menu

Attended a private party in their lower level. Nice space if you need a place for a gathering. The lower level has its own bar. Food was good and served buffet-style for our event.

The restaurant was conveniently located next to the hotel where we stayed near the airport. I ordered the fully loaded nachos, and they were fantastic. The dish was expertly prepared...

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart and my family's. We used to live in Greendale and would frequent it often. Now that I live in Texas, being here again feels nostalgic and meaningful as I visit. View menu

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates delicious Mexican cuisine. The Pechuga Poblano is a standout dish that you absolutely have to try. My wife and I visit often, and we always have a great experience.

During my visit to Milwaukee, while staying at the Super 8, I discovered Jalapeño Loco just a few blocks away. It’s not often that I award a restaurant a perfect 5 stars, but this place truly deserves every bit of it and more. The atmosphere, the food, the presentation, and the service were all exceptional. The mole was absolutely incredible. I've dined at Mexican restaurants across the United States and have my favorites, but I will certainly be adding Jalapeño Loco to the top of my list!

"This restaurant was really trying to be the third coast by dumping the entire ocean 's worth of salt into their dishes. I have never been so thirsty in my life the day after I ate here. With the number of great reviews on top of the beautiful interiors, I had such high expectations for this restaurant that I happily brought my partner and his father (who traveled from out of the country to visit to the restaurant. Imagine my disappointment and embarrassment for bringing them here, only to be given overpriced and oversalted food. The only redeeming factors of the restaurant were the interior design (absolutely gorgeous , the potholes (delicious but still salty , and our waitress who served us in the mezzanine on 10/8 (I forgot her name, sorry! . When we first got our appetizer--the mushrooms, we were literally eating a spoonful of salt at a time. I RARELY send back food, but I had to send the mushrooms back before the dish induces any hypertensive emergency among us. After we got the new mushrooms dish after telling our waitress we wanted just 1/4-1/3 of the salt, the dish still came back extremely salty and the waitress said the cook apologized for ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE-SALTING THE DISH. I 'm sorry, but WHAT. All of our subsequent dishes then tasted all just like salt without a hint of other seasoning. I wasn 't sure if it 's because our tastebuds were so skewed after eating so much salt that our remaining dishes just didn 't taste that great. It was just salty. Anyways we walked out with a $260 bill for three people which was outrageous for this quality of food in Milwaukee of all places. I 'm not sure how people are raging about this restaurant. I have sworn to never return and have told others to avoid going to this restaurant altogether. Opt for somewhere else for better quality food that 's actually worth the cost."
