"It was one of my favorite restaurant to go when I lived in AA. I miss this place a LOT now that we moved to a different place. They used to cater to students on Tuesday in the north campus commons. And at the time the lunch special has a decent price. I am not really sure if they still do so nowadays. During COVID they switched to takeouts only and it has been like that since then. The price went up a little bit but you still get a huge portion size of amazing jerk chicken (all dark meat) with read beans and rice. The wait is around 40 mins so I would recommend to order ahead of time and planned for that. Despite the service is slow, the flavor is so good good enough to forget about how slow the service is that kinda good haha. I don't even know what's in their recipe, even the fried cabbage tastes so good (and that is from someone who doesn't usually care about cabbage)."

This quaint little restaurant is a true gem, boasting excellent service and absolutely delicious food. Their curry goat is outstanding and has become my ultimate indulgence, even though my husband prefers that I cut back on red meat. Wow this place is seriously incredible. legit caribbean flavors. Knew the minute I walked in from the smell/homely vibe it was gonna be worth the hour wait for takeout. This proved move than true. Pictured is curry chicken w/ rice and peas. I like spicy but they cook everything fresh, can accommodate any spice level. Nice large portion

I absolutely love this place! The prices are reasonable for the portions, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and it brings back wonderful memories of Jamaica. I enjoy my chicken spicy, and the rice and beans are the best I've ever had! Their coconut shrimp is also outstanding! Thank you so much for everything!

The food was fantastic! I absolutely love Jamaican cuisine, and this meal really satisfied my cravings during my visit to Ann Arbor. The flavors were outstanding, and the portion sizes made it worth the price. The dishes were excellent—definitely ask for plenty of the delicious sauce on everything. If you're looking for delicious Jamaican food, this is the place to go. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the food is exceptional. I give it two thumbs up! I visited three weeks ago, and I was impressed by how quickly I was able to place my order and pick it up in under 30 minutes. Considering it's located in the middle of the University of Michigan campus, I don't know how they do it, but they were prompt, pleasant, and very accommodating.

Jamaican Jerk Pit is hands-down my favorite place to get food! I 've been coming here about once a week for the past few years and it never disappoints. The food at Jerk Pit is awesome. You can really tell that it 's cooked with passion. Many places in Ann Arbor have good-tasting food, but they don 't make you feel the way Jerk Pit does after every bite. It 's always flavorful and unique. My personal favorite is the jerk pork, and if you get the lunch special, you save a little money too. The owner made it a point to get to know my name over the years and he would say hi every time I came in. He and the rest of the staff were always extremely kind and helpful.
