The food is outstanding, and the service is exceptional. I always make it a point to visit this restaurant whenever I'm in Norfolk.

Generally solid. Friendly staff. Can be a little crowded on weekends and they do a lot of take out, so it can be a little slower then... so leave some time. I go fairly often I like consistency

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a Caribbean dish paired with cranberry juice, while my partner had the two eggs with ham and hash brown potatoes. Everything was flavorful, and the total bill came to $22.95. View menu

Today's visit to Jesse's Place was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in years. Rapid, yet affable service; amazing, yet reasonably priced food; and the place was cleaner than a hospital, yet comfortable. I look forward to my next visit!

The food was cold and tasteless. Idk why they would put the grits in the same container and the other food.... the biscuits tasted like they were soaked in water under that thick gravy. The potatoes were burt and undercooked at the same time....definitely wont be ordering from here anymore.

I ordered a sandwich today. the staff seemed very nice, but a little disappointed about eating. the fries I didn't even eat, and the sandwich was quite a lot beaten up on burned toast. I just wish you could get food that was done right and made proud. why they even send a sandwich on burned toast. View menu

I am a huge fan of Jesse's restaurant! Sam consistently ensures that we're satisfied and well-fed during our visits. Jesse has fantastic specials, and the food is homemade, with the chef working hard right in front of us. The ambiance is serene, making it our favorite spot for breakfast in Norfolk. The décor has a delightful charm, reminiscent of a classic diner. I can't speak highly enough of their outstanding service. The menu features both lunch and breakfast items, all of which are delicious and reasonably priced considering the generous portions.

Bought 2 breakfast plates to go. I asked the waitress to please ask the cook to put my grits and apples in a separate container from my sausage and cheese and eggs. Waitress came back to tell me he had already put everything in the carry out tray and itshould be fine. No need to argue so I said okay in a disappointing way. Got home with food and the sausage was burnt the cheeseand eggs bland no flavor the grits watered down and toast tasted burnt. The apples were disgusting. I paid $30 which included atip. I won?t be back. The whole meal was simply awful!

We’ve never had a problem at this restaurant before, but this time our experience was disappointing. We ordered $60 worth of food that turned out to be bland and lacking in flavor. The seafood dish I chose had an odd taste, and the broth was also underseasoned. My husband’s double cheeseburger seemed to be carelessly grilled, leaving him unsatisfied. In the end, we decided to package it up to give to our dogs. The one bright spot in our visit was the customer service; our server was very friendly and, despite being the only one on duty, she was attentive and accommodating throughout our meal. View menu
