"Whenever we think of Chinese food, this restaurant is our top choice for our family of 15! Sometimes we dine in, and other times we have the food delivered; both options work wonderfully. For a large family, we usually order a variety of dishes to share. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed Hot and Sour Soup, Mala Beef Tendon, Spicy and Crispy Chicken, Tea-Smoked Duck, Shredded Pork in Spicy Garlic Sauce, Cumin Lamb, Mongolian Beef, Water Boiled Fish Fillet, Sichuan-style Salt and Pepper Prawns, Eggplants in Spicy Garlic Sauce, and the House Special Spicy Fried Rice. We love the bold flavors and spiciness of the dishes, and we rarely have any leftovers!"

I visit this restaurant often and I really enjoy the braised pork rice. Overall, it's a great place.

The taste of home??It's the first time I've ever had 豆皮 abroad and it was absolutely authentic. Only available on Friday and Saturday though. Wish I'd have more time in Houston.

Not much to say but excellent food. I was in a large group and ordered a bit of everything to share. Large potions of sweet and sour soup was even delicious. Will be going back for sure.

They have limited seating so we opted to get a to go order of spicy chicken feet and duck feet. They were both delicious. I will return to this establishment in the future to try more foods that I don't usually eat. View menu

I used to live in Wuhan and I absolutely love that Jing 5 offers hot and dry noodles at a reasonable price. I also can't get enough of their duck necks! I just wish I lived closer so I could visit more often. Whenever I'm in Houston, I'll definitely be stopping by.

Only a chef from Wuhan can create authentic Wuhan cuisine, and this dish is a perfect example. Doupi 豆皮 is available only on Fridays and Saturdays, and it tastes like it was made at home. I would give it more than five stars if I could, but that's all I have to offer!

I visit this restaurant frequently, and it’s the only authentic HUBEI spot in town. I genuinely hope they get some competition, as it could encourage them to enhance their prices and service. There are two main issues I've encountered: first, their prices have skyrocketed since the pandemic; second, the professionalism of the staff, including the manager, owner, and waitresses, leaves much to be desired. I overheard them gossiping about a customer bringing different girlfriends to the restaurant—really? View menu

As someone from Sichuan and a bit of a food snob, I can be hard to impress. However, this restaurant's menu stands out from typical Sichuan knockoffs. Mala consistently delivers authentic flavors while also incorporating modern touches into traditional dishes that sophisticated diners can appreciate. I love bringing friends and family here; the atmosphere is always great, the staff is friendly, and the drinks are excellent! Be sure to try the Mapo Tofu and Spicy Crispy Chicken. You'll never look at tofu the same way again!

The attitude is very bad. They don 't let customers order online. It’s first time I came to buy, I saw it online and placed an order. When I picked up the items at the store, the clerk said to me, Can you not order online? I didn 't see the message at all! The attitude is very uncomfortable, if you don 't let customers order online, then don 't put it on it. And when the customer finishes ordering and pick up the items, use this attitude to talk to the customer! I also made an order without knowing it, why should I accept her reproachful attitude?
