"How have I never had Chicken Shawarma before!!? Busy working from home and I was starving but no time to make anything. Headed to my Grubhub app and stumbled on this gem of a place. I love falafel but I also wanted to try something different. I am so glad I did! I am in love with Chicken Shawarma now. The spices on the chicken were so good! Not a huge pickle on my sandwich kinda girl but boy this whole thing works! I ordered a dozen falafel of course. I prefer them with tzatziki so i used that instead of what they came with. I ate falafel for days! Great prices, great food! Now I have to make a trip in person."

This is my go to, food is consistent, fresh and yummy. Portions sizes are a good size.

Great falafel balls, nice and fresh. I got the platter and was expecting vegetables, rice and lettuce but I was just a ton of rice with huge falafels. Still tasty.

Ok it's tucked in the back of a filling station, which is off putting, but omg the falafel is DELICIOUS. Possibly the best I've ever had. Bad location, stunningly good food. View menu

I just returned from running errands around town and impulsively decided to stop by Joey's Falafel. The grilled kafta kabob was absolutely delicious—so fresh and full of flavor! I can't believe I waited so long to discover this hidden gem!

I was pleasantly surprised to find such high-quality falafel at a gas station kiosk. Joey's Famous Falafel competes with the offerings from Mamouns and Pitaziki, and the best part is that you don't have to drive all the way to New Haven to enjoy them!

This gas station Falafel take out restaurant is the best! I ordered the chicken shawarma, grape leaves , and tabbouleh salad. I forgot to take pictures it was so good! The shawarma platter is plenty good but I can't resist thier grape leaves and tabbouleh. All the ingredients are fresh and you taste it! So good View menu

Great choice for fresh healthy and low fat food, the Baba ghanouj was phenomenal, heavy on the garlic which I loved. The shawarma platter was a huge amount of food, I ended up sharing it. It was chicken, and on top of veggies, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and I think pickled radishes with pita and garlic sauce. Great Keto choice if you substitute extra lettuce for pita. Great portion for the price

I had a craving for falafel and hummus but didn't want to drive all the way to New Haven. After searching for nearby options, I found this place, which was the only one close to me. I have to mention that it can be a bit tricky to locate since it's situated inside a gas station, but it's absolutely worth it. The falafel is fantastic, served in a generous pita. The staff at the counter and during checkout were extremely friendly. I will definitely be returning often!

"I hate to be contrarian to the other reviews and I really wanted to love this place but oh boy, were we disappointed. First off, our dinners took nearly an hour to arrive. Now, I know that times can feel longer when you 're hungry and wait times are long, but I happened to make a phone call as we were placing our drink orders so I had a rough marker to measure against. That said, I 'd have forgiven this if the food was good. It was not. My wife and I shared a chicken parm dinner. When I say that it was the worst chicken parm I 've ever had at a restaurant, I am not exaggerating. It was literally the worst. I would have enjoyed a microwave meal more. My father ordered baked ziti. He said it was dry. He had to ask for extra sauce, but he said it didn 't help. The sauce honestly tastes like Stop and Shop can sauce they just add some seasoning to. They also don 't bring you bread before the meal unless you ask. We asked, and our waitress very cheerfully brought some. We noticed a table next to us ask for bread after getting their meal and they got the same response: of course!, and she brought them bread, too. But this kind of thing should just be standard. Overall, the whole experience just stunk. To be fair, we didn 't have the pizza, and every review seems to rave about the pizza, so maybe we 'd feel differently if we had ordered that, I don 't know. But we will not return to find out."
