"I was in the mood for good quality sushi and found Daigo on Yelp. I remember visiting the SF location and remembered it was delicious so I wanted to give this newer location a try. We both had the Omakase with a couple of a la carte items. The 6 fishes that were served to us in the beginning of the Omakase weren't the best. They were mostly bland colored fishes that all tasted the same-rubbery and tasteless. But then it got better. The other items were fresh, buttery and amazing. The Toro and Uni were my favorites of the night. We also had the crispy tempura mushroom with truffled salt, hamachi shooters and monk fish. All were delicious! We also shared a black sesame cheesecake which wasn't the best. It had a pretty dense filling and nonexistent crust. Overall, I'll be back, but I would skip the dessert."

"The staff at the restaurant was very kind and provided high-quality service. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing as we were initially seated in a cramped area with harsh lighting. They were able to move us to a better table, but then we had to wait over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, the cooking temperatures were mixed up. The staff was polite and tried to make the best of the situation, but overall, we expected a better dining experience. This kind of issue is unlikely to happen at other restaurants with a similar menu and price point."

"the server was very nice. he was too attentive at the beginning and seemed to forget to refill coffee, ice cream, water. the busboy began to delete plates while others had eaten. please train their employees to wait until everyone is done before they delete the table."

"The service was phenomenal, we had made a reservation for brunch and we were late. We ordered in advance because they were closing soon, and they took our order over the phone. When we got there they had our order ready exactly when we arrived!All the servers were on top of it, super attentive and super nice!The food was ok overall, the potatoes were a bit too greasy, the hash browns somewhat burnt, we weren't to impressed with the salmon entree for the price. My my kids did like their Oreo pancakes, and I loved that they were topped with lots of fruit. Also, the beignets and croissants were pretty good. The ambiance is nice and relaxing, and they have a nice outdoor seating area in front.We had a good experience overall but the food needs to be brought up a notch, and it would be perfect!"

"The quality of the food and the presentation are absolutely fantastic. Taste and texture both exceptional. They could charge a lot more for this caliber of cooking but they don't.The only reason for not 5 stars is the seating area. Very stressful, especially on the weekend when it's busy. You have to wait a long time to find a table on your own, as others are vying for the same tables you are looking to score. Once you sit down, you have other people standing around you waiting for you to go. I noticed a few parties that had a table but not chairs, so they have to stand around the table. One of the reasons for this chaos is that they keep taking orders in the front, even when they don't have enough tables in the back. For their excellent quality, I feel like the cafeteria style seating area is a grave mismatch and a big mistake. The staff are clearly overworked, but they do try their best and always displayed a great attitude, kudos!Tl;Dr I get that they are trying to serve quality food in an accessible way and reasonable price, but I wonder if it's worth it when everyone trying to enjoy that food are so stressed out. I hope they find their way to make this work, because the food is truly exceptional."
