"I strongly advise against supporting this restaurant! I went in today to try their wings, which I've been eager to taste after hearing so many positive reviews. It was a Friday night around 6:30 PM when we arrived, only to find out that the kitchen was closed. Why? They claimed they were too busy, so they just chose to close up shop. This seems to happen frequently, according to what I've heard. It’s simply laziness at the expense of many customers' dinners, especially since this place is one of only a few in town. This also might explain their high prices. Honestly, our town has a Dollar General, a Stewart's, and this restaurant, so it looks like I'm stuck with frozen pizza tonight. Thanks for nothing, John! I'm sure your business will thrive after consistently inconveniencing customers!"

"What a fantastic hidden gem! Tucked away just off Main Street, it offers gorgeous views of the river, the White Mountains of Vermont, and the nearby Adirondacks. I had the Corned Beef Sandwich with Swiss cheese on rye; the beef was cooked to perfection, and the Thousand Island dipping sauce was delightful. For dessert, I enjoyed walnut and cranberry pancakes. This place is a must-visit if you're in the area. Just remember, it closes at 11, so be sure to eat early!"

"With the new ownership this year there's a definite uptick in the quality of the food and ice cream desserts. The people taking orders seem like they really care. The owners have some cool plans for next summer. They are working really hard to make some nice changes throughout the business. And BTW, my bacon cheeseburger was excellent and the lettuce and tomatoes on it were fresh! The curly fries were great. We also had shakes and a fancy sundae. All excellent! Very reasonable prices. "I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Loved this place but it seems since my favorite waitress retired the service is going downhill. I recently visited with my family and sister in laws family. When we walked in I could see the unpleasant look in the waitress eyes because we had 7 people. Not sure if it was because they are understaffed or she despises actually working. She commented that breakfast was no longer being served. That was fine I said and I could see the look she gave me she was not happy we stuck around. We sat and waited for the waitress to serve us. During this time I saw this waitress belittling an older couple because they wanted breakfast and it was no longer being served. She was even waiving the menu in their face telling them to read it because it said lunch and dinner. Being that we had a 6 hour drive my sister In law asked if we could be served. She was clearly annoyed because she wasn’t able to switch over the tables from breakfast to lunch as she made a comment to another couple in our presence to move the breakfast items themselves because she did not have the time to do it yet. She took one order and was told the drink, yet asked what drink was wanted. When she was told we already said coffee she immediately asked if we wanted to speak to her manager because we had an attitude. Sorry but the only attitude was yours and you cost the owner of the business money. Other reviews here also comment on the unpleasant service provided here. Bottom line to whoever the owner is this lady is losing you money and I will never come here again if she is working there. She had no problem when we left even said good when I said we were leaving. If your lazy and rude you should seek employment elsewhere not in a customer service position."

"I really enjoyed the charming revival of the traditional ceiling fan system, and since they also have air conditioning, the atmosphere is very comfortable. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and you get great value for your money. If you're in the area during lunch, you should definitely stop by! I highly recommend their cappuccino and the strawberry rhubarb crepe!"
