"Delicious sushi, but the service was terrible. Although we had a reservation for 7 PM, we weren't seated until 7:30, and it took another 15 minutes for us to receive warm water and menus. The server was rarely present, and we had to call him over just to get basic items like napkins and utensils—he only brought those after our appetizers were served. Each time he left our table, he dashed away, making it difficult to ask for anything else. Overall, it was a really strange service experience at what is otherwise a great little restaurant, though it is a bit pricey."

Easily the best sushi in KC! I’m a huge Kobe Q fan and always take friends, family, and out of town guests here whenever I get the chance. Without a doubt, this is the best sushi spot in Kansas City! I’m a big fan of Kobe Q and take my friends, family, and out-of-town visitors here whenever I can. I was eager to try this restaurant, but unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to sample any food. I arrived tonight without a reservation, unaware that one was needed, as their website didn’t mention it. There were just two of us, and the server appeared quite annoyed by our presence. We were essentially told that we could either sit at the counter or "find another place to go" because the tables were reserved for a large group. Well, that's disappointing.

I was itching to try this place out for a long long time and finally got the opportunity to do so tonight with my boyfriend. We initially went in at around 2:30 in the afternoon and was told they only serve the Poké bowl during lunchtime. Since I was craving sushi, we decided to come back after dinner hours were in effect (4:30 PM onwards). My son and I love sushi and wanted to try Kobi-q for the first time. We ordered and split the tempura shrimp, Korean fried chicken Szechuan style, Sci-Fi Movie roll and Spicy Tuna +crunch roll. Each item was literally flawless. The shrimp tempura was fresh and mild, and the Korean fried chicken was delicately battered and perfectly spiced. The sushi was absolutely the best sushi either my son or I have ever eaten. So so SO much better than what I?d become used to elsewhere.
