"Been through town several times and finally got a chance to stop and have lunch. I was a little early for lunch (10:30) but I really didn't want breakfast. The waitress politely told me that lunch didn't start till 11 but she'd check if she could get me a chicken fried steak early. I had to wait just a few minutes and she came back and got my order started. I got the chicken fried steak, cucumber salad, fries, and cabbage for just 8.99. It's was so good and hit the spot. The chicken fried steak was not just a breaded hamburger; it was a tenderized cubed steak, and hand breaded, covered in gravy. The sides were delicious too. The setting is very quaint and there's not too many tables so you might have to wait a little to get a table. I'll definitely be back to try something else."

This place is amazing. In town for weekend randomly picked off here. Had an egg scramble biscuit gravy. It is cash or check only!

I drove here on Monday only to find the restaurant closed. The hours posted on the door indicated they were open from Monday to Saturday. I'm beginning to think they may be closed for good.

My boyfriend and I are on a road trip and needed a quick bite before getting back on the rode and decided to stop here. Service was fast and friendly. The food was good as well as the coffee. Cute and cozy inside.

Really good country food. It definitely tasted better than other country breakfasts o tried while traveling trough the USA. It is a must stop if your by the area. People are friendly both staff and customers. Great experience. View menu

If you're passing through, this is a fantastic place to stop. It offers a delightful taste of home-cooked meals. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is wonderful. I especially enjoy the chalkboard where they update the available sides and desserts.

This place had a lot of high reviews! Either this place was really good or all the employees got together and rated it... THIS PLACE IS REALLY GOOD!!! I had the half ham steak and eggs. That slice of ham had to weigh 16 ounces! It was awesome. This place is an hour and a half from where I live but I will be going back for breakfast, it's worth every minute of the drive!

The breakfast portions are quite large, and the grits are good. I requested crispy hashbrowns and medium-cooked eggs, and they were prepared perfectly. It's nice to see real butter and Cajun seasoning available on the table. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. However, the food overall lacked flavor, and I was disappointed that chicken fried steak wasn't an option for breakfast. View menu

Great place! Clean, friendly, fast. Very good food. We passed through from a weekend in OKC. Hubby had Chicken Stripsw/Honey Mustard Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and a side salad. I had Chicken Salad on white bread with Strawberry Fluff. I loved the Chicken Salad; it would have been perfect served on a good Multigrain bread. The Fluff was yummy and hubby enjoyed his meal. Good service, good prices. They only take checks or cash, so be prepared for that. We will be back!

This is the perfect lunch stop for us. Burger with bacon was great. We also enjoyed a yummy vegetable plate with a wonderful biscuit. The staff was generous to serve us gratis a serving of Cranberries in the Snow , which didn 't set up to their liking, but was delicious to me! The staff was very kind and service was quick. Good value, too. As other reviews said, the place was super clean, to boot! If we pass through again, we will definitely stop at Irene 's Kountry Kookin '.
