"Stopped here on the way home from a camping trip on a whim. Now I want to plan another trip just to come back! The staff are very friendly and actually seem to enjoy serving people. The food is cheap, the portions are GARGANTUAN and everything was very fresh and very tasty. The ice cream is no different. Portions are giant and the selection is endless. I recommend the Tandy cake hurricane! My only complaint was that parking was sort of difficult since the place was so packed. Overall, I had a great time and really, really recommend it!"

Used to come here as a kid every time my Dad and I would travel upstate to see my Grandparents. Have started coming here on my own adventures as an adult. Just as good as I remember it.

Remember living in Enola with my Grandfather back in the early 80s and having ice cream from Whistle Stop. Forty years later I still come back from Florida as a pilgrimage with my family!

Got a chocolate milkshake that was not very chocolaty and had a weird taste. Was here a second time for food. It was OK, nothing great. The sundae I got had a lot of ice cream but they were skimpy on their toppings. The parking is horrible! No lines and people parking wherever they want.

Had a pecan sundae. The pecan pie was a solid six at best, and I’ve eaten some good pies across the states. It was served with a very large amount of bland vanilla soft serve. The caramel topping and nuts didn’t add that much to it. Would have rather gotten twice the amount of pie and a smaller bit of soft serve. If you’re up for some normal soft serve with toppings and not expecting much, this place won’t disappoint.

I occasionally buy a quart of soft serve from this place because it’s usually filled to the brim. However, my last visit was disappointing. When I got home, I noticed several air pockets on the side, and the container wasn't even filled to the top—there was no ice cream on the lid at all. The flavor is fantastic, but at $9 per quart compared to $6 at the grocery store and $5 at Dairy Queen, I might need to reconsider my choices. View menu

Without a doubt, this was the best meal I've ever had in Pennsylvania! And quite possibly the finest soft serve ice cream I've encountered anywhere. The service was impeccable, every dish was incredibly tasty, and the total cost for a burger, fried green tomatoes, a sundae, and a whoopie pie was under $30. That's an amazing value for such delicious food. This restaurant is an absolute must-visit for anyone living in or passing through Pennsylvania. You won't be disappointed!

When I came to visit some friends in Pennsylvania, they told me about an ice cream shop with very good ice cream and took me there. When I ordered the ice cream, I thought it would be regular sized like in a carvel. However, when they gave me the ice cream, it was MASSIVE. I had no idea if I would even be able to finish it, but when I tried it, I fell in love with the ice cream. The ice cream from Kristys Whistle Shop is the best I've ever had, and I definitely recommend that those who haven't tried it go and have some.

"My wife and I visited this particular Olive Garden the other night for one of our date night 's that we regularly partake in when we do not have the kids. Before we went she, my wife that is called ahead due to the fact the website said that was what you were supposed to do when it said there was a wait. When she did it told her that there was no wait and she did not have to. We then left and were there in about 15 minutes. Once we arrived there were multiple people in the waiting room waiting to be seated which was funny considering the web site informed us that there was no wait. My wife then walked up to the front desk and she was greeted by one of the very pleasant young ladies there who informed her that there was a 30 minute wait which once again funny because we were informed that there was no wait lol. Luckily for us it did only take 30 minutes though just like they said and once we were seated the meal was great and exactly what I would come to expect from most of the Olive Garden restaurants that we have been to. The waiter Michael the one with the pony tail and the beard not the one with the big head of curly hair not that he wasn 't a good water to but I want to make sure I specify, promptly came to our table and took our order which we were ready to give to him considering we had a half and hour to figure out what we wanted. The salad, bread sticks and dipping sauces that we ordered came in a timely fashion and we had just enough time to finish them before our meal came which was nice because that is a pet peeve of mine. The food was great the service and the server was and were even better. All in all the wife and I had a great time and enjoyed our Olive Garden experience. Thank you to Olive Garden and mike for a good time."
