"On the way to the Children's Museum.... We got lost looking for a lunch spot. We were coming from the south. Don't ask how we ended up here, but by time we drove past it, we were so tired of bickering about what we wanted for food, we just stopped in here.<br/ <br/ This place is pretty old and gross looking on the inside, I'm not going to lie. Then I felt as if my mom was copping an attitude with the guy taking the food orders and I tried to get her to stop before we all got shanked. We also wouldn't let our kids eat off the tables like they normally would elsewhere buuttttt.... in the end the food was pretty good. I was impressed to see that the philosophy of La Bamba restaurants is to never have any deep fryers or freezers in their restaurants. That ensures that the ingredients they use are always as fresh as possible. And it did taste fresh. I just wish that it was a little bit better presented but being on Lafayette St, well... let's just say it was as good as it can get."

This place was better than I remember, going back 20 years. We made a burrito run, at 11:30 pm.

Excellent! The portions are generous. The horchata is the best I've ever had. The service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend this place!

I ordered a burrito and some tamales, both of which were incredible. The food was prepared in what seemed like no time at all—maybe 30 seconds! I don't understand the one-star reviews; I would definitely recommend this place. View menu

Tasty. The beef taste home made with seasoning I havn't tasted in mexican restaurant chains. Soft tortillas, and the burritos--never can eat the whole thing. Unfortuantely they don't have sour cream in the tacos, but 2 for 0.99 on certain days is worth with. Customer service is usually friendly.

This is the ideal spot to visit when you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food but don’t have time for a sit-down meal. The tacos are absolutely incredible (sorry, no pictures—didn’t last long enough, haha), and the regular steak burrito is definitely worth every penny and then some! So tasty! Thank you, La Bamba!!

All hail the last La Bamba in Indianapolis! I am not sure why all the other locations have closed up, but I am thankful that this one remains. Huge burritos made fresh right in front of the customers. The chorizo was grilled on the big flat top as order was placed. The beef tacos were also very good. The tomatillo salsa and the tomato salsa are flavourful. Lastly, the white queso dip is darn good too! View menu

Lived in California for a year now. New Jersey for 10 years. There's been a few Mexican joints from time to time. Not sure, exactly, what it is about a La Bamba burrito that could put a person in a trance exactly, but it happened many of times. Still the greatest burrito I've ever had. Would love to know why the campus experience is adios status there used to be fights outside of locations in Purdue, Ball State, OSU, Indiana U just to get a few spots closer in line. Reckon this new gen is into Tofu Bamba or somethin. W.t.f. bro.

one of the few remaining franchises of La Bamba. great fast food in the Mexican tradition. vegan friendly options are what been keeping me loyal to the name for the better part of two decades. veggie super burrito with no cheese, filled with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, salsa, and an entire avocado!! no trip would be complete without a big cup of pickled carrots. for best results, consume the entire thing atop the overlook at Crown Point. sad demise that most of the locations have gone the wayside, but glad a few of them remain and are gems to be cherished. PRO TIP: support this place while you still can!

"Inside, you’ll find seating at tables and the bar, along with a pleasant patio area that overlooks the sidewalk. They also have a self-serve water station in the front. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. I chose to sit at the bar, and it appeared to have not been wiped down all day. The floor was quite dirty as well. The staff did what was necessary, but seemed to lack enthusiasm. You can customize your own bowl or select one of their signature options. Feeling adventurous, I decided to create my own bowl. Regardless of your choice, you start with a base. I opted for traditional sushi rice over brown rice and spring mix salad. Next, I had to select a protein. The size of your bowl determines how many scoops you receive. The regular size allows for two scoops, so I chose one scoop of spicy tuna and one of marinated salmon, although options like octopus, tofu, and shrimp are also available. After that, you can add various toppings and sauces. I have to admit, my bowl was quite tasty and packed with protein. The atmosphere was relaxed, with music playing softly in the background. Unlike the other location I've visited, this one doesn't offer shaved ice, just poke. Overall, I found this place to be just average compared to other locations I've tried, which is why I’m giving it a 3-star rating. The poke was decent, but everything else felt pretty standard at best."
