"I never actually got the opportunity to eat here. We arrived in this small town pizza joint with little to no expectations. When we walked in we were instructed to sit anywhere and told they’d be with us shortly. We sat and waited for 16 minutes before the waitress brought us our menu. The menu looked great and had good variety and the price seemed fair. Unfortunately I was not able to find out. While waiting for our order to be taken, my daughter noticed a plethora of ants in the salt shaker. After inspecting other tables this appeared to be the case in all of the salt shakers. They were 100%, undeniably ants. We continued to wait for our order to be taken and noticed a thick layer of dust on top of all the wall hangings and cameras. We were still willing to give this place a shot but after waiting for 27 minutes for the waitress to take our order( there were only two other tables with customers) we decided to take our business elsewhere. Very disappointed, as we were looking forward to a great meal. Cannot recommend"

"On our biking route, we were recommended to stop here, and boy am I glad we did. At first site a modest shop, it's beautifully decorated and the food is even better. We had the best gyro we've ever had, and incredible hot spiced cider. You really can't gowrong. They even have indoor bike parking so we didn't have to lock up. We will be back!"

"The burgers were cooked to perfection and served fresh right after we placed our order. When we opted to switch from the usual sides of potato salad or coleslaw to onion rings and fries, I became curious about the potato salad. They kindly offered me a sample, which was like a mini version of the side you'd get with the burger, complete with a mini pickle on the plate. Wow, it was delicious and tasted incredibly fresh! Next time, I might just order a bowl of the potato salad instead of anything else, but everything we tried was really good. What impressed me even more was the attention to detail. Even though I wasn’t a local regular, the server remembered that I had originally requested a lemon wedge for my drink and brought me another one without me even asking. It’s the little things that make a big difference: cleanliness, friendliness, thoughtfulness, and great food—I would definitely give more stars if I could!"

"We ate this weekend and the food wasn't very good. They tried to order lumps and called back and said they had no, it was sold out. It was like 430, make dinner in the morning and let yourself sit. Whenever I eat there, I get headaches from all MSG in food. The crab Rangoon was not good and it was muddy, and the pommes were not hot. There are many other places to eat in Vernonia. Look elsewhere."

"I now know where the guys from Ax Men drink their beer. One of the regulars from the show (Dwayne Dethlefs was here while we were getting our pizza. Now imagine what that place would look like... This is a locals bar. Nothing wrong with that, and the stars are not reflective of that at all. I have gone to other establishments that are local watering holes in small towns, and I have had a pleasant experience. This was not one of those. So a buddy of mine and I are on a long ride when we stop in Vernonia. We are a bit tired from the ride, and we decided that we could use a bite and a beer. So, we enter into the bar. As you enter, there are a few tables, a couple of them have been put together where all the regulars are sitting and drinking (including Dwayne, who is showing them boobies on the phone...pretty funny, actually. My friend asks what is on tap...nothing is on tap. Let me repeat: Nothing is on tap!! Okey...so, what do you have? My friend goes up and sees Black Butte Porter, and orders that. I go lowbrow, and I grab myself an ice cold Rainier (but I use the French pronunciation...ron YAY . We then order the combination pizza. I think every ingredient, including the dough and the cheese, came from a can. Not that I was expecting much, but...yikes! So after we ate our pizza and had a couple of beers, we go to settle the bill. Cash only. Cue the loser tuba from the Price is Right. The final straw was the service. Not unfriendly, but clearly we were not welcome in the local establishment. We were not part of the local crew, and so we didn 't need to be there. Again, they didn 't do anything mean, nasty, or unfriendly. We were just unwelcome. Combine that with pretty unforgettable pizza and cash only, and I will not be stopping there anytime soon. Really too bad because I do ride through the town quite a bit during the summer, and it is nice to have a few places to try."
