"Stop going to big coffee chains and go to Donny’s Cafe! Don’t waste your money at BetterBuzz where the drinks are watered down and the sugary powder settles to the bottom. Do yourself a favor and go to Donny’s and try the Mexican PB delight! Donny’s Cafe is AWESOME! Not only are the food and drinks great, the atmosphere is welcoming, and customer service is amazing. The moment you step into his cafe he makes you feel like family. I got the salmon on an onion bagel, Mexican PB delight blended coffee, and a brownie. The salmon bagel was delicious and mouthwatering, and it was pretty big that I could only finish half. If you are a PB fan, do not sleep on the Mexican PB delight! So good, I might be addicted. IMO, definitely one of the top cafes in SD"

"This is the best Vietnamese food I have ever tried. The restaurant has outdoor seating with trees providing shade from the sun. The prices are reasonable, but the taste of the food is even better! Some of the staff may not speak English fluently, but they are always polite and friendly. The hardworking owner seems to have a photographic memory as she remembers our orders from previous visits. If I could, I would move this restaurant, along with the owner and staff, to my home state. It will be the first place I visit on my next trip to National City. Trust me, once you try it, you will love it and want to come back often. Visited in October 2019 and found out that the original owners had moved from the East Coast, resulting in a slight change in the food taste. Despite that, I was still excited for dinner. Fast forward to May 2022, and my opinion remains the same - this is the best Vietnamese food I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it!"

"great breakfast. we go to the fhop on the plaza blvd. next to the 805. eating is always good. my man and other family love the great parts. I always command the main menu because the portions are too big for me. my man loves to get home potatoes there and order 1 meal and it will keep him for three days. eating is delicious! our favorite server is karen. even if we haven't been there for up to 6 months, she always remembers that I want sugar free sirup and my pancakes or French toast I like on a separate teller from the egg, speck or whatever. she remembers that my man wants salsa and very little cheese. she is fast on her feet and friendly to all....read more"

"While waiting for my car's oil change at my favorite mechanic’s, located at the corner of 18th and National City Boulevard, I stumbled upon this delightful little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! The cozy ambiance is perfect for a great breakfast. Although they serve lunch as well, I only tried their delicious breakfast. The Mexican coffee is absolutely divine—super hot and way better than all those pricey coffee shops! They also offer smoothies, espresso, and a juice bar featuring veggie and fruit juices, including wheatgrass and ginger dishes, all aimed at promoting good health. The place is charming and very welcoming, open all week except on Sundays."

"I 'm actually unsure as to why this place had a couple of low ratings recently because I visited Pho Hung Cali for the first time this week and could not be any more pleased with my experience! I had their pho dac biet xe lua (26 in a regular size with meatballs and it was delicious! Really affordable, clear broth (which to me is an indicator of good pho , and delicious meats. There is also tons of seating and the waiters were incredibly kind to me. One of them gave me extra limes, chili oil, and broth without me even asking and I felt so taken care of : ' I 'd probably want to return again to try their banh mi or goi cuon because it looked pretty good, but their pho is a great choice for a new visitor. Lastly, they have their own small parking lot and clean restrooms. Great restaurant!"
