Great atmosphere- I like the intimacy of it and the old style feel of the building. Food was simple but out of sight and our server, Lizzie, was excellent. Perfect combination of being personable but not needy, and we never lacked for anything.

Came here for lunch and enjoyed every single bite. My sister couldn't stop raving about the rabbit. Crab beignets are a must! Melt in your mouth. Everything was just amazing, and our waitress was so nice! 10/10 would recommend and hopefully can come back again soon!

Amazing meal, I don't have a single criticism. Service was impeccable. My husband had thenpork chop which was delicious and I had the cheeseburger. I can honestly say it was the best burger I have ever eaten-melts in your mouth. Butterscotch pudding was the perfect dessert. View menu

This was an excellent meal. The atmosphere is really inviting and the food was delicious. We had the pan seared flounder and the shrimp and grits at our table. Both entrees came out really delicious. The flounder dish was so artistic and beautifully plated. The chocolate chess pie was a must-have!

Unbelieve, top notch service, lovely atmosphere, and one of the best meals we have ever had in NOLA. Everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked with no excessive waiting for anything. Worth the price for a phenomenal birthday dinner. Just a short walkfrom our house too, so we will definitely be back. HIGHLY recommend!

This restaurant offers incredible flavors. My steak was both tender and juicy, accompanied by potatoes and crispy kale—it was absolutely spectacular. The tomato salad was delightful, enhanced by a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkled with sunflower seeds. Everything was delicious. The crab beignets were also fantastic. What can I say that hasn't been said? Food, excellent. Drinks, same. Service, outstanding (behind the bar, Hannah, was outstanding, super friendly n efficient...as was young man wo sorry!!! I didn't get his name). Really, one of those rare occasions when all is excellent to perfect. This place lives up to the reputation. Excellent. I'll come here each time in NOLA. BTW, had boudin balls n red snapper specials. Really. really good. Another big standout in a city with many!

I maintain a top ten list of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans, which I share with visitors. La Petite Grocery is definitely on that list. My rankings go beyond just food; they consider the overall experience, including staff, service, atmosphere, people-watching, lighting, and yes, the food! It excels in all these aspects, which is why it remains at the top of my favorites. Of course, there may be an occasional off night, but I would never hold that against a restaurant. Additionally, it's the perfect place for solo dining at the bar. I’m fortunate to live just a five-minute drive away!

I have been to New Orleans many times, this was the first time I visited. This is easily the best cheeseburger I have ever had. Cooked to perfection. The burger fits in your hand, not greasy at all. The bun is soft with a slight crisp when biting and all ingredients are arranged perfectly. I had to add ketchup to it, should of asked if it can be done prior. The only issue I had is they offer basic fries with the burger. Sweet potato fries would have truly made the experience perfect. Must have burger. The waiter, who I thinks name was Savannah or Hannah, was amazing. Did an amazing job explaining the taste. Very friendly. Promote her now! Will comeback every time I come to visit New Orleans!
