Lalo's Cocina - Menu

Came in tonight and sat in Jenni's section and had an awesome dinner! She was sweet and attentive. Our drinks stayed full and she checked in the perfect amount and updated us when our drinks were taking a few minutes longer than expected. She was great!!

This is an open-concept Mexican restaurant that offers great drinks and excellent food deals. The tacos were tasty, although a bit dry, but I really enjoyed the carnitas. My friend ordered a steak lunch special, but he left feeling a bit hungry. Overall, it's still a really nice place.

Stopped in for lunch with toddler and teenager after a visit at the Children's Museum. Lunch specials were great. Shrimp salad, quesadillas, and Polla Lalo Chicken and shrimp. I've been coming here for a couple of years, and this place never disappoints! Everything is packed with flavor; while it may not be entirely authentic, I still appreciate the taste. The staff is friendly and attentive, and I love that their booths and tables are spacious enough that my meals aren’t cramped. I can’t wait for my next visit!

My fiancé and I were pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! They serve chips and salsa with white sauce as well. We ordered a side of guacamole and it was delicious strong lime flavor and we think either jalopeno or serrano peppers were included which added night heat but not too much. I ordered the Pollo Felix with no cheese sauce. Everything about the entree was great. My fiancé was disappointed with the chalupa (we thought it would come in a pita like taco shell). Next time he'll try something different. Overall, we had a solid experience and will likely come back to try other dishes! I'd give it a 6.8/10

I would rate this restaurant a solid 4.25. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by a friendly waitress. The restaurant was filled with plenty of natural light thanks to the large windows, which I really appreciated. It was also very clean. The salsa served with the chips was incredibly tasty and had a nice kick to it, even more so than other cantina-style salsas I've tried. I opted for the 'Enchiladas Michoacanas,' which is my go-to dish, and it did not disappoint. Everything, from the beans and rice to the enchiladas themselves, was spot on. I went with a few of my lady friends for a nice Friday dinner out. Our server was Liz and we really loved her! She was bubbly and professional. She has a great attitude. Lalo's is cute inside, definitely busy but not too busy. We didn't have a res and we were seated right away. First we enjoyed the queso fundido as an appetizer along with happy hour margaritas (on Friday, happy hour flows to 7! . For entrees, my friends got the Steak Lalo and the Texas fajitas. Yo dog, for me for you, this is just a'ight. Bizarre choices abound a simple hard taco is like a unflavored hamburger in a hard shell topped with arugula. How about enough giant chunks of jalapeños in your guacamole dip to choke a mule? It's my second time and I have to say I wantedThis place to work because I still haven't found decent Tex mex in Richmond. But this place trying too hard dressing up simple dishes with all the wrong accents. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had in Richmond the bartenders are on their phones not paying attention to patrons that are wanting to have a drink or food we had to have the manager wait on us because the bartenders are too busy doing whatever they want to do this place is the worst place in Richmond I live in Scott's addition I will never come back to this place ever again they are terrible they don't care please please save your money go somewhere else.
