Excellent chiles rellenos. Delicious carnitas. It was so good, we came back the next week. Friendly service was a bonus.

Excellent guacamole as salsa homemade and the fresh margarita yum. Cameron's Diablo and the Penas Special were excellent.

The food here was disappointing. Rice and beans, my favorite side dish at Mexican restaurants, were not enjoyable enough for me to finish. The server had limited English proficiency and only approached our table to take our orders and deliver the food.

The atmosphere is definitely different inside. It's almost like a gas station turned into a Mexican restaurant. The bathrooms are outside on the side of the building which is strange. The food was okay, might go back but might take the food to go, I definitely wasn't impressed with the cleanliness.

This restaurant may be small and unassuming in appearance, but the food is fantastic! I tried the fresh guacamole (not the dip), beef fajitas, and a Negra Modelo. The guacamole was incredibly tasty—definitely ask for jalapeños if you like it spicy. The beef fajitas were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. My entire meal cost $27, which might seem like a lot, but it was more than enough for two people (I finished it all myself since I only eat twice a day and I skipped the rice, beans, and tortillas!). I also made the mistake of sitting too close to the owner's table, where the staff took every opportunity to sit down, and some sort of child care was happening. The TV was on, music was playing, and the staff was socializing. The child care arrangement was clearly not working, and the little one added to the noise level. This chaotic environment felt typical of a family-owned establishment, but I had heard it was supposed to be a good place to eat, and my experience did not support that claim. So, my recommendation is to either concentrate on improving business and customer service or consider closing the doors. This is, once again, a fine mess you've gotten me into, Stanley.

Living just a couple of blocks away, we were pretty disappointed when our local Dairy Queen closed. When a Mexican restaurant opened we rejoiced but our excitement was short lived when it couldn 't keep a staff and closed soon after. Our emotional roller coaster continued when a second Mexican restaurant opened. We were thrilled at the prospect of tacos within walking distance but honestly, our expectations weren 't that high. This is the second attempt at a Mexican Grill in this location, but sometimes it takes a second time to get it perfect. Absolutely wonderful Fresh Guacamole Salad is to die for, the best combination of ingredients and flavors I've ever had in a Guac salad. The Queso is top notch as well, excellent but not on par with that awesome Guacamole Salad. Shrimp Burrito Grande, very good, only critique would be cut the peppers a bit smaller, but hey, it's subjective.
