"Had a Sunday buffet here with a part of 9. Overall it was nice. We weren't rushed. It wasn't too busy so we could hear each other and chat and enjoy our time. The staff was lovely. They were sweet to my daughter. She's little, only 2, and they didn't charge for her even though they have her juice and ice cream. That was really nice too. The food was decent. There was a nice selection of breakfast and lunch food. I thought the beef was delicious. It was nice and rare how I like it. Nice large fruit bowl to take from. My daughter was in heaven. They had an omelette station. I got broccoli and mushrooms and cheese and it was pretty good. When I got to the French toast/waffles container there was a large amount but the majority or waffle quarters looked burnt. Oh well. The French toast was quite good. Then there was bacon and sausage. The sausage in my opinion was awful. And the bacon was all fat and Limp. I prefer my bacon crispy. I believe there was crispy bacon earlier because there were little bits in the bottom of the chaffing dish but it wasn't refilled with crispy. Then there were mixed veggies and potatoes. And two different chickens. And then I remember crab cakes and fish. Both were good in my opinion. There was also a dessert table and you could get ice cream. They had multiple flavors not just the typical chocolate vanilla option. I thought the room we were in was a little cold. I wasn't warm until more people came in and filled up the space. And the restaurant looks old. There is stuff decorating all over the place that's chipped or broken. It give everything an old feel. Still I'd come back. It's nice overall."

This is a very cosy New England tavern in North Stamford. Nice fireplace. Traditional pub offerings with decent soups.

The food is really good. I've never had a bad meal Service is classy the kind of service uncommon today. I particularly enjoyed the duck.

Due to Covid we decided to try a different approach this year. My sister and I bailed on the larger family gathering to dine by ourselves at the Long Beach Tavern for Thanksgiving. I must say the food was excellent and the service ivery personable. Of course dining in a 200+ -year-old tavern on Thanksgiving doesn't hurt either. What a lovely experience. Highly recommend! It was my first time at the Tavern. There was live music. Bread and drinks were great. I found a button of a clothing in my half chicken tonight. The waitress took it off the bill and that was it. but I didn't feel like it was handled as appropriately as it should have been. I know it's not her fault, but given the pandemic and everything that's going on it's not safe. Be careful and look inside your plate before taking a bite.

It's all you can eat buffet style. Their French toast was really good this time. Their waffles were kinda dry. If they had strawberry compote it would've been perfect, but the fruit was basically limited to watermelon and grapes. Bathroom was clean. Decor in the restaurant is old looking. I guess to go with the tavern theme? The outside garden was cute. The food was good, but I probably won't make it a point to come back. I think it was $38/plate with one mimosa or **** Mary included.

Our gastro tour of Connecticut continues. If I had to pick a fabulous place in CT not on the water, The Long Ridge Tavern in Stamford is it! A quaint outdoor garden complete with babbling water fountain, perfect shaded tables (and a gazebo) for 6). The menu is not huge but is perfect. We had Onion soup, burrata w/heirloom tomato, French Toast with fresh cream and strawberries and a burger with onion rings. The cocktails were sweet. The food was delicious. Can't wait to come back and share it with a few friends. PS: There is also an antique shop connected to it which we couldn't enter today, but you can be sure I'll be checking it out at some point. I feel that I needed to update my review having now been here a few times. Being in close proximity to my house it is very convenient so we decided to give this place another go. I will say the place is very charming and cozy inside. It has a rustic but classy feel to it. I have now been for lunch, brunch, dinner. It is always fairly quiet inside but the staff is always very friendly and attentive. We showed up almost an hour before opening (unbeknownst to us) for lunch one day and they were gracious enough to seat us right away. Everything I have eaten has always been tasty. I find the bar menu to be fair in price and to have good options. The full bar is an added touch and I like that they...

Had a nice brunch today. They had a good buffet selection of both breakfast and lunch foods and everything was fine. If you're looking for a place to get together with friends to sit and talk for a while this would be a good choice. For breakfast they had made to order omelettes, eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce, French toast, waffles, sausages and bacon and for lunch, sliced to order roast beef, peeled shrimp, barbecue pork, potato pancakes, crab cakes and baked fish. There were salads, fruits, and rolls. Everything was good but it was mostly coming out of chafing dishes and had been sitting for a while. Dessert was ice cream and/or cake. You could have either a **** Mary or a mimosa. T...
