"This was our first visit and it will most likely be our last. We were greeted by a polite woman as soon as we walked in, seated and then our unfriendly waitress Wendy came to take our drink order. While we were trying to look over the menu she came back to the table and I was trying to ask a question about a menu item, she immediately cut me off and stated that we needed to hurry up because she had a large group coming in and was trying to get ready for it. We placed our order but when it was ready it sat in the cook window getting cold until another employee finally decided to bring it over to us. Wendy never checked on us even though she passed our table a couple of times to go serve her 1 customer at the bar. The lady that seated us ended up refilling our tea and checked us out so when we left we made sure to hand her the tip, there was no way that I would have ever left a tip for rude Wendy. The food was only OK, Chicken Fried Steak and okra were decent but the burger was pressed meat that was extremely dry and tasteless."

It's a nice alternative to any other offerings in Carthage. The food is decent and the staff is friendly. I've had a few occasions where after eating here my stomach didnt feel great though.

The food is typical American cuisine. The fried catfish and sirloin steak were about the same as what you’d find at any other restaurant. However, the fried okra was cooked perfectly. If you're looking for a sit-down meal, it's quite similar to other places I've visited.

Back then it was just ok but tonight my fiancé and I decided to give it another try… and it was impressive! I had a crispy salad the chicken was cooked hot and crispy and the Salad fresh! He had a burger and he ate it all! Service was great!!! Whoever they replaced they need to keep them! Totally a better experience from our past experience!

I've been to this restaurant three times. I enjoyed the buffet on Mother's Day and ordered from the menu on both other visits. Each time, I've experienced above-average food and excellent service. The prices are around $12 per person, not including drinks, which is reasonable for the generous portion sizes. However, I do find the bar drinks to be a bit pricey. For those saying the restaurant is overpriced, I suspect they spent more on drinks than on their meals. View menu

There was not a good selection of food. The pictures on line are misleading. It is not worth $11.99. They are slow to replace the already limited amount of food that was on the bar. That's to say, it was not a good variety of food there. We told them several times that the mashed potatoes were scorched. However, they never took it off the bar. As a matter of fact, when they did refill it, they kept refilling it with the same scorched potatoes. It is not worth the price, nor is it worth the drive, for I had driven there for lunch from Shreveport off the pictures and description that was on FB.

The best part of the experience is the rolls and cinnamon butter. The steak isn't great quality and it's often overcooked to your preference. The last steak I had less marbling than select top round roast.It's certainly not the worst place to eat, but it's not anything special. The staff is kind and courteous, and the food is always hot, but it isn't worth your hard earned dollar if you can be bothered to grill your own steak at home.The Sunday buffet is the best bang for your buck, and the best display of the chefs' prowess. Outside of that, everything else on the menu is generally unremarkable.
