"My wife and I recently took a day trip to Tangier, where Lorraine’s is currently the only lunch option available, so that’s where we decided to eat. We started with the crab dip, which was fantastic. For our main courses, we ordered crab cakes, and I chose mine with scallops. Having spent my entire life living near the water, I have a good understanding of seafood, and I must say, those scallops were far from what I expected. I'm not sure if they were skate or sand shark, but as someone who loves scallops, I've never left any on my plate—until my visit to Lorraine’s. If you find yourself at Lorraine’s, I recommend sticking with the crab dip and crab cakes and skipping the “scallops.” Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

Visited Tangier Island today and stopped for lunch at Lorraine's and so glad we did! Ordered one if the specials... crabcake sandwich with cream of crab soup and both were excellent!!!

Highly recommend bringing your own food on the boat trip. Food was good but we waited 90 minutes after being seated and didn't get to explore the island as a result. Pretty much ruined our day trip.

My wife had a very good soft shell sandwich and I had a very poor crab cake sandwich. More than half the crab cake was filler and something else. Very little backfin (the juicy white meat). Both were served within five minutes of us sitting down which told me that they were pre cooked waiting for the tourists to arrive.
