"What an incredible place! A friend recommended this restaurant to me, saying the food was fantastic and that I should take a detour on my way from Missouri to South Texas to visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, outstanding service, and amazing food. I can confidently say this is one of the best spots for Greek cuisine! Everything was delicious—you really can't go wrong by stopping here! We went out of our way to dine here, and I'm so glad we did! I will definitely be back for another taste!"

"The crab rangoons were overly sweet, with hardly any crab present. The small bits of crab that were there made them slightly better, but they still weren't great. The dumplings were decent in flavor, but they had clearly been sitting under a warming light for too long and arrived barely lukewarm. The biggest letdown was the takoyaki. While the flavor was acceptable, the execution was poor. It seemed pre-made and just warmed up, and the insides had a strange, gooey batter texture. When we expressed our disappointment, the waitress insisted that they were “just like that.” When we asked to return them, she said we simply “didn’t like them” and still charged us for it. Isn’t the typical protocol to comp food when there’s an issue with how it’s prepared? The atmosphere was lackluster, filled with early 2000s pop music, and we were seated at dingy, cramped tables. Overall, this place was a huge disappointment. I have no idea why it has nearly 4.5 stars! I won’t be coming back. "I eat at the pub once a week or so for lunch. They have a great lunch special. Salad, crackers, drink, main dish and 2 sides for around $7.00. Service is always great. Servers are nice and so is the manager. I am mainly there during the day but I stopped in there one evening with some co-workers and had a few beers. The evening staff was great also. Beer on tap was real cold. I don't think I had an empty glass the whole time I was there. The waitress had a new beer on the table before I emptied the one I was on. Oh and the atmosphere is nice too. They keep it very clean and there are tons of pictures on the walls from Gainesville back in the dark ages and there are a few shoulder mounts of big long horns. Follow up review Just went to Main Street Pub with my family, 13 years after writing my review above. We had Ribeye, it was excellent! Server was sweet and we had a real nice afternoon there. I did notice the lunch special went up in price since my previous review, it’s about $11 now not too bad. Parking: New parking lot across the street, lots of spaces available."

"I’m giving this restaurant a 4-star rating primarily due to the lengthy wait for my order of 10 pieces of cornbread; it took almost an hour to receive it. I’ve dined here before and enjoyed the catfish dinner, which included mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas, and cornbread. The cornbread and black-eyed peas were outstanding—definitely the highlights of the meal! However, I wasn't impressed with the catfish; I was expecting fried catfish fillets but instead got pieces that resembled chicken tenders, and they were quite small. The mashed potatoes were rather bland, and I wasn't informed that they came with white gravy, which I don’t eat—I prefer brown gravy, and the staff quickly replaced it for me. Aside from those issues, the rest of the food was very good. The waitress was fantastic and very attentive, complimenting my hair and outfit, which really brightened my day. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was truly sweet. I highly recommend this place! Just a tip: if you're planning to order cornbread, I would suggest calling ahead!"
