"Our initial experience at Lotus of Siam began over decades ago at the original location in the now antiquated Commercial Center , East of the Las Vegas Strip . Exceptional and among the most highly rated in the nation, and certainly THE MOST highly rated by many restaurant critics. The second location followed suit on East Flamingo Road. Fast forward to the year 2023. We have dined at the Red Rock location on three occasions . Unfortunately , the beautiful decor rises high and detracts, from Important attributes, specifically the quality of cuisine , comfortable ambiance and noise level. In summary during all three visits, the cuisine was below their usual) standard , with the exception of a few selections , the noise level Is extremely and highly unacceptable, resulting in an uncomfortable ambiance. I n our opinion, it ls reasonable to conclude the founding family has relegated control to others and have surrendered their expertise, in addition to other contributing factors. It is understandable that a restaurant can , and does, have an “off-night”. And that is forgivable. That is the reason, to withhold review until at least three visits., Therefore, we can now state that this location has consistently failed in providing the dining experience they have long been noted for. Dining is a personal choice, and we all differ in our experiences. Therefore, we respect the opinions of others. Those who have dined at the other two locations for decades, are more aptly to compare and offer more objective comments , rather than being impressed with decor only. Ambience was the winner. I'm a big fan of Thai food and did enjoy my dish. However the vegetable appetizer and especially the mango sticky rice was a big disappointment. I will stick to my favorite Thai restaurant Legends Thai View menu

Having dined multiple times at the Commercial Center location as well as East Flamingo, we expected the high end food experience of those locations. We were not disappointed. However, it was unbelievably loud with a dj playing on Saturday night. Also the seats were jammed together. As a dining experience, it was miserable- as a foodie experience, first rate.

The bartenders were fantastic! The service was excellent. Although our food came out lukewarm initially, they quickly prepared new dishes for us. The second attempt was an improvement, but it still wasn't hot. The restaurant was not crowded at all. I wouldn’t recommend the egg rolls, as they were pretty average, but the drunken noodles with crispy duck were absolutely outstanding.

We ate at the Red Rock location. I find it hard to believe that Lotus has survived in Las Vegas since 1999. The only explanation is that this restaurant is "casino-ized (not really trying that hard, expensive, etc), and not nearly as good as the original. We ordered 3 dishes. Portions were very small and pretty much tasteless. For the $95.00 tab, it just wasn 't worth it. I would, however, still like to try the non-casino restaurant. View menu

We ordered several dishes: the famous garlic prawns, pineapple fried rice, fried chicken wontons, Thai ceviche, and beef satay. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The only item I wouldn't order again was the beef satay, as it was overcooked and a bit bland, though the peanut sauce that came with it was tasty. We also enjoyed two rounds of the butterfly drink with a shot of reposado, and they were delicious! Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience.

Dinner at a two top by the window. Quite pretty space, can get noisy. Drink Originally wanted to order the Pineapple Cucumber Seltzer, however I was informed that one of the critical ingredients was not available, so ditto the cocktail. The restaurant had just opened. The server described the Hot in the Shade as a mango margarita, so I decided to get that instead. The drink arrived in a rocks glass, without a salt rim, and despite the advertised inclusion of Thai chili, was quite sweet. It was good, but not a traditional margarita. Food Decided on the Prix Fixe menu at $50 the restaurant had introduced. Choices were the Thai Salad, Crispy Garlic Prawns $10 supplement, and added brown rice at...

"Entry: We entered Oscar's via the front entrance of The Plaza at the West end of Fremont Street. Off to the left near the entrance is the escalator that leads you to their second floor. When we entered we were immediately greeted and seated by a friendly hostess. We requested a table with a view and she definitely obliged. Atmosphere:The ambience at Oscar's is about as good as you can get in downtown Las Vegas. Centered in a large and beautifully tinted glass dome you get panoramic views of downtown LV and even the sky. Service:The service was a spectacular star experience with our waiter. Our water and drinks were never empty. He was attentive, professional and friendly. Food Drink:The food was very good but not quite up to star. The Chilean Sea Bass was the full fish with skin which is quite different than how most steakhouses prepare just a single filet. It was supposed to be deboned however we found bones while eating. The skin on the filet should be crispy throughout but was only so around the edges. Definitely overpriced for the quality of this meal. The salmon was decent but not amazing. Overcooked just a smidge and not seasoned very well. So pretty much tasted like any other salmon you might expect from a or star restaurant. The filet mignon was decent but probably not even in my top The cut was more fatty than what you would expect from a high end steakhouse and not marbleized. I ordered it medium, and as many steakhouse chefs struggle with cooking a filet properly it was cooked to order on the edges and pretty much completely rare on the inside. The grilled asparagus was likely the high point of the dinner. Was cooked to perfection and tender in the middle, crispy on the edges. The creamed spinach wasn't great. The spinach was undercooked and affected the smooth consistency that you should expect from a good cream spinach.Overall:Definitely worth trying for the experience but don't set your bar too high"
