Mad Jack's Mountain Barbecue

Sooo yummy. The pork ribs fall right off the bone and the brisket meat is delicious. The bbq sauce is super good too.

It was surprisingly very good Brisket sandwich. The amount of meat was generous. They sold-out at 3pm. The staff are very good at updating The Line on quick items in The Menu are left Available.

Great local place! The barbecue is outstanding and portion sizes were generous. The cole slaw was soooo good. I will definitely come here again! Come early because once they sell out for the day, that’s it! Super cute place.

This restaurant serves the best barbecue I've ever had outside of a backyard. The "dinosaur" beef rib was fantastic, and the brisket had amazing bark. Just be aware that you might have to wait in line for up to two hours for your fifteen minutes of eating, so make sure you're not too hungry when you arrive. Great BBQ!!! Beef ribs fell off the bone, and the brisket was nice and tender. Brought some back home, and my son said we had to take him just to get bbq. My wife had the chopped beef potato, and boy was it big. She left quite a bit that I took to work for leftovers. Potato salad was delicious. A friend of ours had half chicken, and it looked good. She stated that it was nice and juicy. She also had cornbread and she said that it was good. I would definitely go again if I am ever around Cloudcroft area. The only thing that I did not like was the wait time, which could have been that it was Labor Day weekend, but we waited in line over 2hrs just to get in the door.

The barbecue at this restaurant is unbelievably delicious with an amazing flavor. I ordered the Kirk Jackson sandwich and my boyfriend had the Mad Jack sandwich. Both sandwiches had generous amounts of tender, perfectly cooked meat with little fat. They were the best barbecue sandwiches we have ever had. The sides were also perfect. The atmosphere at this barbecue place in the rustic mountain town of Cloudcroft was just right. The staff were friendly and the owner, Mad Jack, was warm and gracious. It is clear that he puts his love into this place and wants everyone to enjoy HIS barbecue and dining experience. Mad Jack's is definitely worth any wait to taste his incredible barbecue!

Wow! I recently tried the Mad Jack barbeque brisket sandwich and it was hands down one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The portion size was generous with no shortage of meat - it was absolutely delicious. My girlfriend ordered the Kirk Jackson sandwich, which was equally phenomenal with a generous amount of barbeque sauce that made every bite a delight. The sides at Mad Jack's (potato salad, pinto beans, pickles) were all perfectly executed. The ambiance and staff were everything you would hope for in a barbecue joint in a charming town like Cloudcroft.
