"Delicious custard. Even if you're not into the flavor of the day, they always have vanilla and chocolate. I had a hot fudge sundae with vanilla and chocolate today and it was so good! My grand nephew had a scoop of cookie monster (I think) and he loved it. He goes all the time. I visit Jax about once a year and take the kids as a treat."

"Overall, the food was average. The burgers were large, however, you pay a premium for French fries. I would rather they just inflate the price and make French fries standard. The included item is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed shrimp, which didn't have a lot of flavor. I could tell I was eating shrimp and crab, but there wasn't much flavor. The portion was four stuffed shrimp. However, the shrimp were of the medium variety that I would buy at my local market. They were ripped with a tablespoon size crab ball. I had to pay a premium for cheese on my potato. This dish was $29, which I was prepared to pay, but was disappointed when it came out. Or meal was $95 (including a 15% tip). I'd also like to add we all had water to drink. I think the bill was a tad too much when two people in my party had a burger. The best part was dining outside right at the water. I drove from central Virginia to dine there, and am not sure if do it again. Just so so."

"This restaurant is truly fantastic for any occasion! Their drinks are outstanding, and the food is of exceptional quality. The atmosphere is delightful, and the attentive waitstaff ensures that drinks are always filled and customers are satisfied. The food may be simple, but it is expertly prepared. The blackened fish is perfectly seasoned, allowing you to enjoy the crispy crust and smoky flavor achieved from cooking on a hot pan. The fried dishes are just as impressive; the calamari is never chewy, and the batter is light—not greasy or overcooked—and has a beautiful golden color. This clearly reflects a kitchen team that is serious about their craft. As a former chef who has taught and managed many kitchens throughout my career, I really appreciate a place that excels at the basics. Many restaurants try to complicate their dishes and forget that simplicity is what truly elevates an exceptional dining experience, like this fish camp, which stands out from the rest. I also loved seeing a staff member walk in with his coat and knife kit—it really shows the dedication of the team. Keep up the great work; I will definitely be returning for many years! Plus, the sign with the dad jokes always brings a smile to my face whenever I walk by!"

"I absolutely adore Vito's. It is a classy restaurant with well-informed staff and delicious food. They also offer excellent takeout options, and our go-to dish is the carbonara. Their sausage lentil soup is also fantastic. I am a loyal fan of Vito's! Update from my recent dine-in experience: I visited Vito's for dinner last night and it was phenomenal. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch - quick, efficient, and not overbearing. We ordered the incredible spaghetti carbonara and my son enjoyed a Sicilian style pizza with pepperoni. The calamari appetizer was also delightful. The restaurant was bustling, so it was a bit noisy with all the patrons. Near the bar area, there was live music which added to the lively atmosphere. I was pleased to see the restaurant busy and running smoothly. They are clearly managing operations efficiently and the service was outstanding, as were the dishes coming out of the kitchen."

"Update: The manager (or owner not sure which) got back to me quickly after seeing my negative review. He was very apologetic and told us how to get a refund. He also offered to comp our next meal. We just ordered again (didn’t bother to get the comp since we got a refund) and went through their website rather than Uber. Per the owner this is a better way to order bc they can see the requests better and it’s cheaper. Anyway they got it right this time. As far as GF pizzas go it was good and I’m really happy w their larger selection of toppings which you don’t get everywhere. Hubbs got a calzone and inhaled it in about 5 minutes. Little one had the cheesy bread and was happy. Glad we gave them a second chance. Wish I could try real pizza bc their crust looks really nice. I’m attaching a pic of the GF pizza I ordered w: mushrooms, ricotta and banana peppers. Ordered delivery for the family. I can’t have gluten so I ordered the gluten free crust. It’s only available on their 10” thin crust so I’d think if an order for a 10” thin crust came through they check. Pizza arrived, I looked at and was pretty certain it was not gluten free. One bite and I knew for certain. I’ve had all kinds of GF pizza, bread etc. even the goods ones don’t come close to the rise and chewiness of really dough. Fortunately I’m only gluten intolerant not celiac’s so one bite won’t do much, but it was pretty disappointing to watch everyone else eat. Also they upcharge for the gluten free crust, so they should have seen that on the order as well…not to mention it takes a lot of nerve to upcharge for an option you don’t deliver on."
