I’ve been looking for good West Indian food since moving to NJ. Mama Sher has fit the bill! Great tasting curry goat, clean and not too salty! Fabulous!

Painfully slow service ! The staff moves so slow . They don’t care how long to wait. The place can be dead and you will still wait a while… there also always out of certain things they advertise on menu View menu

It's not fancy but the food is AMAZING. You can tell it's cooked daily and it's fresh and clean. The patties were so good, I was mad I only bought two. No store bought patties, he makes them fresh. You are definitely going to wait a while for the food, so if you are looking for a quick bite, this ain't it. But lord is it good.

The last time I been here was before pandemic...i stopped today for some soup .it was good! The place us super clean! The last Jamaican spot I went to was a disappointment. For example I saw a roach crawling but mama Sher's is good and clean and I will be back! My sister loves it! And I will recommend this location...keep up the excellent work!!!

Mama Sher's catered food for my daughter's party, and everyone couldn't stop praising it. We enjoyed oxtail, jerk chicken, curry chicken, rice and peas, plantain, and vegetables, and everything was absolutely delicious. I’ve been longing for Jamaican food, but I’ve always been skeptical about ordering it in New Jersey, as I’m from New York. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed. The food was bland and lacked flavor. I ordered oxtail and fish, and both were just awful. I ended up wasting $74 from Uber Eats. I also tried the jerk wings, and they were merely okay—nothing out of the ordinary.

I had a craving for Jamaican food and this restaurant was the closest option, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, along with mac and cheese. I waited an hour for my food, but I was okay with that, thinking it would be hot and fresh. Unfortunately, I was wrong! The rice was overly salty, and I don't believe the oxtail was genuine; it had lost all its flavor. It honestly felt like they might have taken the food out of a freezer and just reheated it when I placed my order. I really didn't enjoy the meal at all, and I'm very disappointed.

Terrible customer service. If I could rate zero stars I would. I placed an order by phone and was told it would be ready in 45 min. I arrived 10 min after the phone call so I decided to use the restroom and sit on the inside. The door of the restroom was locked and beside it was a sign that clearly read “Restroom is for customers only”. As I went to ask if the door was locked, some old man who didn’t acknowledge my existence said not a word and some “man” from the back came and said that it was locked while the older man said someone was in there (all of a sudden saw that I was there).
