"The food at Manila Sunset is absolutely amazing. It’s always freshly cooked and perfectly prepared! You can watch as your meal is made through a glass window, which is really comforting. The staff is very friendly, too. I appreciate how they serve the food on paper plates lined with banana leaves; it gives a lovely Filipino vibe while making cleanup effortless. Filipino families often enjoy a diverse selection of dishes here, such as goto (porridge), pancit malabon, beef tapa, chicken barbecue, and bibingka—each one is a must-try! I like to add a sunny side-up egg to the beef tapa and chicken barbecue for an extra treat. And let me stress: YOU HAVE TO TRY THE BIBINGKA. Honestly, it’s like a buttery sponge cake topped with sugar and coconut—it’s unbelievably good! I usually put mine in a toaster oven for about 10 minutes to get the top a bit crispy and the inside warm. A box of bibingka assures you’ll have leftovers, which make for perfect snacks after meals or even breakfast. Do keep in mind that this place can get quite busy, so you might have to wait for a table or your food. It's been around for quite a while, and I believe it will continue to be a favorite for many more years. I highly recommend it!"

I ordered the bibingka only, and it was freshly made. I gave it 4 stars because it's not as authentic just like when in the Philippines. Maybe because they had substitute ingredients and not the same way of cooking charcoal fire on top and bottom.

I've been visiting Manila Sunset for several years, and they consistently offer excellent Filipino food options. I highly recommend this chain, which can be found in Filipino communities, particularly throughout California. The food is freshly prepared and served hot to order!

Man I've never been to the Philippines but I believe I have eaten authentic food here at Manilla Sunset. I had Crispy Pata, Bibingkang, Fresh Lumpia and an incredible sour soup. Will be back for something else on the menu; even though I don't know whatanything is other than the fried chicken.

My first experience with Filipino cuisine remains the best I've had in LA! The Bibingka is a buttery delight topped with fresh coconut, and the Tokwa at Baboy with its amazing Sawsawan is simply extraordinary for pork lovers! Vegans might not find much to enjoy here, but they can indulge in more Ampalaya to balance out the indulgence of Lechon Kawali, Pansit Malabon, and Lumpia Shanghai! View menu

Manila Sunset has a good reputation in LA, a nice place to order Filipino comfort food. We went here to eat goto lugaw (rice porridge with beef guts and tripe) and tokwa't baboy (pork and tofu). It was really good. The lugaw is really delicious andfilling. I tried both the soft and the crispy pork tofu; this dish stood out the most for me. The people working here are politeand good-natured. The only downsides are the parking and the ambiance. Front parking can be an issue since it gets full easily. You may park on the the street if you have quarters to spare. The ambiance inside Manila Sunset's small space can feel hot andhumid. It would be nice if they have an A/C. Despite these issues, they...
