"The atmosphere is very comfortable; I can understand why customers enjoy this space for inspiration and ideas for their work and art. It’s a perfect spot for a first date during the day—romantic and with a variety of seating options both inside and outside. We even noticed charming little flower bouquets available on the front steps! There’s also a walking trail head nearby, which is a nice bonus. We didn’t have any trouble finding parking, but since it’s located in a residential area, you may need to walk a block or two on busy days. That’s perfectly fine; a little walk is good for you! Update: We went back and both tried the garden bagel. It was delicious! The microgreens complemented all the flavors and textures beautifully. I can’t wait to return!"

The coffee here is delicious, and I really enjoy the atmosphere! Since the building is older, the heating and insulation aren't the best, but that's not a big deal for me!

Such a pretty shop, nice calm vibe for meeting with friends with tasty coffee and treats. I love the cardamom latte and quiche. Parking can be a bit tricky but it's usually not too bad.

Just a fun, locally owned family business that never disappoints. Owner operated and she is so very kind. We feel rejuvenated everytime we visit. A quiet atmosphere and everyone can find an option that works for them. There is great coffee, light fare food, beer/cider, and a relaxing outdoor area to watch the birds. View menu

I absolutely adore Maplewood Coffee! It’s a charming little café set in a converted house in the neighborhood. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, and they have an excellent selection of coffee and tea. The staff members are also very friendly and accommodating. My only downside is that it can get quite busy, so I would recommend visiting on a weekday rather than a weekend. Food: 5/5

What a little find! Nestled between trees in an quaint neighborhood. A beautiful historic home has been converted to a coffeehouse. Gorgeous inside! Calm atmosphere and music. Plenty of seating for larger gatherings and twosomes. Outdoor seating as well when the weather cooperates. Unique drinks and food with a nice variety. Will cater to meat, vegan, gluten free and in between. Friendly staff. Glad to make it here and I’ll be back.

I hesitated to write a review for this place because it's so fantastic that I fear it will become overcrowded. I visited for the first time today with a friend, and I was not disappointed. This cozy breakfast and coffee spot is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and has a relaxed atmosphere. The food is exceptional, the vibe is delightful, the staff is wonderful, and the customers are great too. Everything about this place is just fantastic. Plus, they serve congee! View menu

Quaint house converted to a coffee shop. Plenty of space, great mix of pastries and coffee/tea selections. The breakfast platter was delicious. Baked eggs were flavorful, potatoes, bacon and sourdough bread sprinkled with rosemary. Wonderful breakfast. My wife enjoyed the biscuit and bacon. The chocolate croissant was OK. Very flakey, but not enough chocolate in it. Great atmosphere. If you are driving or walking, keep your eyes open, because it blends into the neighborhood.

I absolutely adore this place! It has a charming, historic ambiance and offers delicious food and drinks, including some excellent alcoholic options! I'm a big fan of their homemade syrups and appreciate that the drinks aren't overly sweet. My favorite dishes are the congee bowl and the homemade bagel sandwich with vegetables. The bagels are thinner, which is ideal for a sandwich, and I really enjoy the thinly sliced cucumbers they include! It's the little details that make all the difference! Thank you for creating such a cozy spot to unwind and enjoy.

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
