"Absolutely visit this place! The food is unbelievably delicious. We dine out constantly in Portland and can confidently say this is one of our top choices. It truly feels like a hidden gem. Stephen provides the best service imaginable; he treats you like family and has an incredibly positive attitude toward his customers. He even shakes your hand, offers to carry your food to your car, and is genuinely passionate about his dishes. If this were a full-scale restaurant, it would undoubtedly be bustling with patrons. The Chicken Masala is fantastic, the Naan bread is delightful, and everything is made fresh to order—so be sure to place your order in advance! The Samosas are amazing, and the mango smoothie is a must-try. This place truly puts their heart into every dish they serve."

What a hidden gem. They have a limited menu but it was really good. The owner was very friendly also. I had chicken masala , naan and a tomato based soup. I would come back if working in Gladstone again!

I had the chana masala, saag, and veggie samosas. All very delicious and authentic! The owners were very helpful and welcoming. I would say this place is best for take out, they only have a couple tables inside their tiny store.

Masala Box serves the best Chicken Masala I've ever tasted—it's absolutely delicious! The Naan bread is fantastic as well. Even though I'm not vegetarian or vegan, their plant-based dishes are also excellent. Overall, they offer the best customer service in Oregon by far! View menu

Steven is such an incredible owner. This is some of the best Indian food I have had, immensely fresh and flavorful. The food is cooked to order and takes about thirty minutes, worth every minute of the wait. Do not skip out on the coffee, creamy rich and bold. Steven goes above and beyond the make every meal memorable, his devotion translates into each meal. I have never had better customer service, we cannot wait to go back! Thanks Steven!!

Steven is absolutely the man!!! What incredible food. I often find myself stopping by even just for a quick samosa, just because of how much I enjoy interacting with him. I have yet to have a bad experience here, his food and customer service are absolutely incredible. Genuinely one of the nicest humans I have ever met! On top of this, the overall prices for his store are very good. If you are looking for a smaller mom and pop shop with top notch service, and an absolutely incredible owner to spend your money at, look no further. I can't think of a single person who deserves your business more than Steven and his family. HIGHLY recommend the chicken masala!!

"This place was recommended by a friend. It was not quite what I expected. I'm okay with the dated strip mall that it's in and even with the humble atmosphere of the place. There are a lot of divey looking places with great food. The premise of this place is kind of cool, but they have not done a good job at all and making the menu intuitive or even understandable. If you've never been there before you're probably going to be lost and you certainly aren't going to know what order or what quantities things come in.Looking around the restaurant everything looked pretty small portion-wise so we ended up over ordering. We ordered the recommended groupings of items (meats and veggies) which I definitely would not do again. Much better off picking the exact meats and vegetables that you want rather than relying on the groupings that they give you. Also, when it comes to the broths, my advice is just pick one and probably the first one on the list. Then you can add spices or sauces as you like. Instead we got two broths the first one on the list and then the second one which is basically a spicy version of the first one and then we got a bunch of spicy condiments that came with everything that would have turned the first one into the second one. So save some time and money and just get the one broth. Same save time and money and just get a few meat vegetable items to start. Things that you know you like. Then you can always order more if you still need to.My three-star rating is because nobody there was able or willing to really explain any of this at the restaurant. The menu doesn't explain it, the staff well extremely nice didn't seem to understand either. They didn't help at all with describing what the portions would be like before bringing them out. The broths basically taste the same and having one regular and one spicy honestly just ruined the regular one because the spicy one was crazy.I would eat here again, especially now that I know how things work and I could probably save $20 or $30 by only ordering one broth, taking the free sauces that come with a meal, and ordering the meats and vegetables al a carte. The food was definitely fresh so they have that going for them."
