"Took my daughter for lunch yesterday after reading the reviews on this place and we were highly disappointed. We had a side order of chicken livers as an appetizer and they were okay but the breading fell off on the plate. That 's okay though because we were there for this best burger in the world that everyone seems to rave about. The patties appeared to be steamed rather than freshly cooked and were absolutely tasteless. Fries were undercooked, limp and cold. Service was good and prices were surprisingly low but we got what we paid for in that regard. I certainly won 't be making that drive again and for all the folks that think this is the best burger they have ever had , let me recommend Burger King or any other fast food place if you want one that is even better."

I really appreciate the staff at this restaurant, but I think they should consider installing fly prevention entrances. Additionally, it's important for them to ensure that the hot food bar stays hot and the cold food bar stays cold.

The portion sizes were larger than what we typically see. However, the squash casserole was a bit bland. Overall, the prices were reasonable.

However, getting to the restroom was quite challenging; you have to push a heavy door and manage a ramp with a step, which could be difficult for those using a walker or wheelchair. My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back home and we were so happy we did! This restaurant has a great story behind it. When we first walked in, I was surprised by the hours. Four thirty in the morning is super early, but I imagine that is a labor of love. We couldn't get over how delicious the gravy was here! The staff was so sweet and our food came out very fast and was so tasty! This was such a nice stop.

I stopped by this restaurant unexpectedly while on I-22, and I was pleasantly surprised. They offer a fantastic country Sunday buffet featuring fried pork chops, dressing, cranberry sauce, cornbread, and more. Their coleslaw is made just the way it should be—completely non-creamy! Plus, there is an extensive selection of homemade cakes! The hospitality and service are so exceptional that five stars simply aren’t enough. This place is a true gem in Carbon Hill!
