"The Joy Thru is a 10 minute walk from my house so I love strolling by to grab a drink (or lazily drive). I usually get an Oat Milk Matcha Latte or a Chai Latte. I also love their cronuts and the chipotle breakfast sandwich. I love that they support fellow business by carrying their products. I've seen Pressed Juice, Olli Pops, and Crave Cookies. The workers are super chill and sweet. They're in a good mood and do the best they can in that little space! Sometimes I come and theres a just a car, or I come and there's long lines at both windows! So you never know what you'll get. Starbucks is across the street, but I try and opt for small businesses when I can!"

"I hadn't been to Prime 13 since it opened several years ago, not for any particular reason. We visited for a Father's Day dinner celebration as it is a local steakhouse. The restaurant is beautiful, dark but relaxed ambiance. Full for a Thursday and it seemed kid friendly which we appreciated as parents-to-be. Patrons were in very relaxed summer attire so it didn't feel so fancy that you had to dress up. They only had two mocktails, tried the one with cucumber and it was very refreshing but at $10 I felt it was a bit overpriced at only $5 less than regular cocktails. They have a pretty good date night option for weeknights so we picked two small salads, one protein dish to split and one side with two (very small) desserts. We added on a starter that we probably could've done without but we wanted to try the Cajun bites. It was steak tips in salsa with chips. Good but not great. For the start of dinner our salads were okay, mine was pretty basic dinner salad I would've preferred the wedge but it's not an option with the special even though it's priced the same. Now for the tomahawk steak, this is where they wowed. It was huge!! we couldn't even finish half and VERY tasty and tender. Definitely the star of our visit; the sides were once again good but not great, for the seasonal veggies they brought out seasoned corned and we added on the hatch Mac and cheese (not spicy at all, which I was happy about) otherwise the special only comes with one side. My husband had two cocktails he said were good but he didn't seem overly impressed compared to other old fashioned's he's had. Overall we did enjoy our dinner and thought the service was good. We had them package our desserts to go. It was a chocolate mousse pie and creme brûlée. I liked my brûlée but it was a tiny portion, (not that I needed more). after all of our add ons and tip we spent several hundred dollars. I'd visit again to try other selections but for the value (minus the steak) it's not breaking into my favorite local places for a nice dinner."

"Attempted to go last weekend, while we waiting by the front door, there was a couple ahead of us, and another couple walked in after us. Acted like they were trying to sign their name on the pad and saw a seating for two and went over and took it and another couple walked in behind us again and the man asked them two? and they said yes and they were seated right away, I tried to explain that we had been waiting there for quite a while at this point and the four people ahead of us had just been seated and we didn't understand, I wasn't angry. I was just trying to understand, but in the middle of talking to him he just walked off. It's important to us that when we go out we go to small businesses and people that are not part of a chain or a big corporation. But when you have this happen it lets you down. It was only my second time going here but honestly, your food's not that good. And we will not be back!"

"Their pasta as well as their bread is delicious. That must account for their high rating. But the minestrone soup was a huge disappointment: The soup overall is excessively watery with sparse vegetables and not much else. The few vegetables seemed tired and overcooked. Their minestrone soup had little substance. If they need a good minestrone soup recipe I'd be glad to give them a recipe! Food: 4"

"For a localish chain sandwich shop, this Sequoia Sandwich Co. hit it out of the park for me. As a business jet pilot, I occasionally need to provide our passengers with some meal options, and I like to provide them with local options. I placed my order online around 1120 on May 8. Originally requesting the order be complete by 1230. Well, my coworker wanted to leave a little sooner, so at the end of the order I asked if they might be able to have the order done by 1215. This included 5 sandwiches, 3 salads, some giant cookies, brownies, fruit cups and chips. I thought I might have to wait that extra 15 minutes…which was fine if need be, BUT this team came through for us. And the order was ready by 1210! Our passengers devoured their sandwiches and salads, enjoyed some fruit cups and desserts by the time we hit FL410 (41000 feet, our cruising altitude). The peppered turkey, roast turkey and cajun turkey (my choice) were all favorites. As were the cobb, bbq chicken and some other salad. Thanks for coming along for our ride Sequoia, you gave me the fuel (along with a Kuppa Joy cold brew coffee) to navigate home safely. Also, thank you to the manager for wishing me God’s blessings. I wish the same for you and your employees and guests 10 fold sir!"
