I always order the Beef Ho Fun, which is delicious! However, my friend told me about the large $8 Beef Fried Rice, and I can't believe what a great deal that is!

A classic hidden gem for Chinese cuisine. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I can't find anything to complain about! Food rating: 5/5.

Tried this place out for take-out lunch during a workday. It was close by so we thought we'd give it a shot. I had the broccoli beef lunch combo with egg drop soup. Tasted pretty good, better than Panda Express by far. Also was only $8 tax. View menu

This was undoubtedly one of the best meals I've ever had. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were extremely friendly. We ordered the beef broccoli, and the meat was wonderfully tender while the broccoli was just the right amount of crisp. The salt and pepper pork was also tender, and the batter was light, not greasy or heavy—definitely a 5-star experience. I will definitely be back.

I am pleased to say my experience with Mei Mei is very different from the first person who reviewed it. I've lived in the U District for five years and go to Mei Mei about once every month or two. Their food is great, the owner is very nice, and the orders are always accurate. I usually get Mongolian Beef, Fried Rice, or Noodle Dishes. It's my favorite Chinese Restaurant in North Seattle and I feel lucky to live close.

Small, unassuming restaurant with amazing Chinese cuisine! The owners are kind and efficient. We ordered seafood tofu soup, Beef Ho Fun, Mongolian Beef, and Walnut Prawns. Beef Ho Fun was our favorite. All the dishes had amazing flavor! Walnut prawns were delicately fried and melted in your mouth. The restaurant itself is very small. Perfect for lunch or takeout. The lady who owns Mei Mei is so sweet and thoughtful. If you want a change or alter anything in your plate just let her know, she’s got your back! If you want quality Chinese food for a great price go to Mei Mei’s! The egg rolls are super good to! General Tso Chicken 5/5 Chicken Chow Mein 5/5 (May need a bit more chicken but it’s a great portion of noodles) Sweet Sour 5/5 (it originally comes with the sauce on the chicken but I get it on the side so I can dip the chicken in)

While maybe not the most authentic Chinese food place in the city, it certainly hit the spot for what i was looking for. I was looking for a mean Singapore Noodle. Their Singapore noodle was really good, one of the better one that i have tried in the city. I also had a small hot sour soup which was good. This is the classic Chinese takeout place that i remember as a kid from the east coast. If that is the type of Chinese food you are looking for i am sure you’d like this place. If you are looking for something a little more authentic, maybe checkout ID. I will be coming back here, will probably become my goto Chinese Takeout place. It also has a small parking lot, which is very convenient!

This tiny cafe is pretty simple and small, but the quality and flavor of the food is excellent. The owners are super sweet and personable. I decided to go with an item on the specials board, a red braised pork with Chinese potatoes. The lady was concerned if I would like what she said was very Chinese dish and offered to make me a sample. She came out with a small sample for me and my friends, which was delicious. The food portions are quite large and meant to be shared, Chinese style. 1 dish with rice could easily feed 2 people. Dishes were about $11-13 on average. They have ample parking. They don't deliver but they do have an online menu system to place a take out order. Highly recommend! View menu
