"People that complain shouldnt come out. Half the time they do not listen to the pricing and just want to complain. This place is awesome and has been a staple of Georgetown for over 15 years! They have league bowling as well as event and retail bowling. They have a pretty decent size arcade with plans to enlarge it in the future. The food is actually great for bowling alley food. The drinks from the bar are better than most bars in town. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The managers will literally go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. We love coming here to spend time everyone."

Very nice to have a local bowling option, and even more fun that they have food, drink, and arcade game options for downtime between turns. The main area feels slightly dated, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone, as it was VERY full with the league bowlers on a Tuesday night. The sports bar area was a little newer and more laid back, which was nice.

Super chill spot to come hangout with family and friends whether you live in town or just hanging out on your way through the north austin area. It's always cold inside so its a great place to chill out. Food and drinks are really good. The service is pretty fast as well. They do have a nice arcade to play games in if you want. They have specials every day of the week too!

We drive by this place on 35 all the time on our way home and have never been so once we heard that it was going to be a bowlero, we knew that we had to stop on by. We stopped by and we had the best time! The center was packed but very well staffed and everyone was attentive to us the entire time. The managers on duty were so very helpful and had us smiling and laughing as we checked in and checked out. The food was outstanding! We will be back!

What a fun place to visit! However, bowling for four isn't quite affordable anymore. The cost for four adults, even with a military discount for two games, came to $86. We still had a fantastic time, but I feel for families as it's quite pricey. The staff is wonderful, and they offer a full menu along with a bar selection. There are lockers available, and an arcade area for those who enjoy games. The restrooms were clean, which was a nice touch as well. View menu

Such a cool spot to be at when it super hot outside. We love going out and hanging out with family and friends here. The staff here is all amazing. Bowling is a lot more fun than people give it credit for. It is a little on the pricey side of things to do but the AC is ALWAYS on and the food is ALWAYS outstanding. You can take 5 minutes to bowl or you can take 5 hours to bowl, they do not care. It is per person, per game so you have to be mindful of how many games you play.

I've lived in Georgetown nearly three years and never been here until recently. We treated our two teen nephews to a bowling outing to get out of the house yet stay out of the sweltering Texas heat. Mel's is a bigger place than it appears from the road. It has 40 lanes, lots of arcade type games, a full bar and lounge area and plenty of good looking food to eat. All we did was rent shoes and bowl two games plus has a couple of soft drinks. It was a great way to spend a couple hours in a cool environment.

Very helpful and friendly staff, both at the counter and the restaurant. The balls have two thumb holes, accommodating multiple thumb sizes, which helped me get a lighter ball. I'm out of practice. The lanes have great options for how the game is displayed. We got the unlimited play option, and played for hours, and had a blast. We got the chicken Caesar salad, not expecting much, but were both very impressed by the presentation, taste, and service! I know, a salad isn't difficult, and a bowling alley isn't gourmet, but they put care into what they prepare. View menu

We visited over the weekend, and I had to ask for a fork three times before I finally received one. On top of that, I paid $76 for my husband and me to play three games together, which is $6 per person per game, plus an additional $6 for shoe rentals. The food was quite good and fresh, but I ended up being charged $40 for it. While I was there with my husband, a staff member came over and flirted with me while he was in the restroom, and afterwards, they wouldn’t even acknowledge us when he returned. Overall, I don’t think it’s worth coming back here again.

The lemon pepper wings were fantastic, and the soft pretzels with queso paired perfectly with the cold draft beer. The place was spotless. The pool is enjoyable, but be aware of the hourly rates, as it can become pricey quickly. The service on our first visit was excellent, and the Astros game was already on, but on our second visit, it was not. I had to wait over 30 minutes to find an employee who could help change the channel, and overall, the service was disappointing that night. I rated it 4 stars, hoping my second experience was just an off night for them.

"My daughter and I had went to Georgetown last weekend to check out a few places to host her baby shower in April and we walked into Laurie’s cafe to check it out and we spoke to the owner Beth she seemed very welcoming and even offered to move some tea sets off a table but we liked them so we told her she didn’t have too. We discussed a few things and we were very excited to come back and try the food because we had already had lunch that day at another restaurant we were checking out so we told her we would come back and check out the food so that we could make our final choice on where we were going to host it so today Saturday February 24th we went to lunch there my daughter her fiancé and my mother and I to check it out we drove 45 minutes or so and we had high hopes and really had our heart set on holding it at this location. When we arrived the sign clearly states seat yourself anywhere you like so we did we picked a round table with a Pilar next to it so it would sit 5 people maybe and we had 4 I had stepped away to use the ladies room and when I came back I had noticed that the owner was at our table and I thought she had remembered us and maybe came over to talk about the baby shower but no she was asking us to move to a smaller table My daughter is 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow we wanted the bigger table for more room for her and for us to not feel so cramped The restaurant maybe had 2 tables with customers and was not busy We did move however I have a big issue with this treatment!! Why have a sign that says sit anywhere if you are going to have a problem with where we sit Also they had other options if a 5 or 6 people table came in so I don’t see what the big deal was or why she felt the need to approach the table in that way it’s a good thing I was in the restroom when she first came over or else we probably would’ve walked out!! We didn’t deserve to be treated that way and she even came out and talked to other tables but never to us mind you no other big parties came in while we were dining!!! A one person sat at a 4 top table but they were not asked to move to a two top table!! She never thanked us for moving tables or came by our table to see how everything was. She seemed more aggravated that we were even eating at her restaurant. I don’t understand why we were treated that way either as we didn’t deserve it we were only doing what the sign said and picked a table to sit at!! The more I think about it the more annoyed I get and I wish I would’ve said more and stood up for all of us and most importantly my daughter who is very pregnant and needed the space of a bigger table. The restaurant had plenty of options for other large parties!! I feel disrespected and mistreated and the way she presented herself today was WRONG on so many levels! Do not support this restaurant and the rude owner!!! The food was ok I did like a lot of what I ordered however the coconut cream pie I ordered for my mom and I to share didn’t seem cooked completely and it lacked flavor. My bill was over $85 for 4 plates and two desserts and two drinks and I feel for what we got it was WAY overpriced!! After the way we were treated we will NOT be hosting it at Laurie’s Cafe!! We decided to go with Sweet Lemon Kitchen and will be paying them close to $900 so next time BETH treat your customers better because you never know that could have been a good thing for your restaurant to host us and your waitstaff!!!! Don’t go to this place if your out in the Georgetown area Check out the many other places and the sweet lemon kitchen!!!!!"
