"This was my third visit to the restaurant, as my parents really like dining here. During my first visit, I ordered the shrimp burrito, but it was so greasy that I couldn't finish it. On my second visit, I chose the fajitas, thinking they would be a safe bet, but they ended up being bland and lacking flavor. This time, I decided to try the carne asada tacos, which were decent. The meat was good, and with the guacamole and salsa, it was acceptable. However, there are too many fantastic Mexican restaurants nearby to put up with rude waitstaff and mediocre food. I won't be returning here."

Regarding vegetarian options, I used to visit this place years ago when I was vegetarian, primarily for the eggplant tacos. They were incredible!

Probably the best fish tacos I've ever had. Everything is made fresh and you can tell. You have to try the lime vinaigrette dressing. It is amazing! Staff was also very friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Food was good, the drink was okay I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it tasted a little. There was no waiting for placement, but there was a waiting time to get our drinks and food. Maybe they were short staff.

The food was enjoyable, although I found the strawberry daiquiri I ordered to be a bit lackluster. We didn’t have to wait for a table, but there was a delay in receiving our drinks and meals. Perhaps they were short on staff, though I'm not sure. View menu

We also enjoyed the shrimp quesadillas and bacon-wrapped shrimp, which were incredibly tasty. In terms of being kid-friendly, they have a great selection on the kids' menu. Even though we didn’t have a wheelchair with us, we brought a stroller that fit perfectly, so the restaurant is definitely accessible.

Can't say enough great things about this place, the service is amazing, the food is to die for, the drinks are made for real men. We had Isabelle and Sean helping us with our meal tonight and they kept the drinks full, served the food hot, and made the dinner a great time. I will be going back again and again to enjoy this place! View menu

I have been enjoying lunch at Mexicocina regularly for the past couple of years, and I absolutely love it! Thang is an excellent cook, whether it’s Mexican dishes, Asian cuisine, or amazing breakfasts. Some of my favorites include the Chili Relleno, Carne Asada Tacos, Shrimp Lo Mein, and his omelets! I highly recommend you give it a try!

As for the food, this was my third visit, driven by my parents' preference for the place. The first time, the shrimp burrito was overwhelmed with white sauce, rendering it inedible. On my second visit, I opted for the fajitas, which turned out to be bland and unappetizing. This time, I ordered carne asada tacos. They were decent—though the meat was still lacking in flavor, the guacamole and salsa helped improve it. Despite this, there are far too many excellent Mexican restaurants out there to put up with rude waitstaff and mediocre food. I won’t be returning.

"Wow... after reading some of the comments below, it seems like some people have really high expectations and are looking for somewhere trendy, like Broken Yolk, or something really upscale. Give me a break! I genuinely enjoyed my experience! If breakfast is too pricey for you, then maybe consider McDonald's! This place isn't trendy or fancy, but the food and atmosphere were great. Sure, the location might be a bit odd, but aren’t some of the best restaurants found in unassuming places? Who cares about the appearance of the building? It’s so much better than struggling to find parking in North Park or having to pay for metered parking. It’s conveniently located right off the main road with plenty of parking available. The building’s look doesn’t bother me at all. Someone mentioned that everything tasted like butter, but honestly, the flavors were just fine. I ordered the hash browns on the side with the special of the day, and they were delicious—crispy and not drenched in butter or oil. The special was Chilaquiles, and I was really impressed! They were not only tasty but also served in generous portions. I loved the oversized coffee cups, and the food came out quickly. The waitstaff were professional and friendly, continuously checking on us. Overall, this is definitely a place I would return to for a lovely breakfast!"
