"Came here on a holiday weekend so it was quiet which was great. I was not a fan of the decor , I felt that for the prices they charge it should be a little bit more up to date. I hate when I see carpeting in restaurants, it just always seems dated and dirty to me (not that this place was dirty because it was not) We placed our order and started in on the bread basket. It was nice and toasty which is exactly how I like it! I would have preferred some olive oil to dip instead of butter but not the end of the world. We were waiting for awhile and started to get antsy. Finally the waiter came with two complimentary salads because he stated something had gone wrong with the ticket machine . It was no big deal things happen and at least they gave us the salads to hold us over. I had the salmon in mustard sauce, it was ok but nothing amazing kind of bland. The mashed potatoes it came with were really good though and so were the string beans. My mom really liked her chickens dish but I have to say for the cost the portions were a bit on the small side. I would give this place another try but it's not somewhere I would be in a rush to go back to. I did see a pasta dish on the menu that sounded interesting so maybe next visit that will reel me in! The service was decent they were very pleasant"

"Had a really nice meal with my sister and her family here last night. Now normally, the term really nice meal would mean a 4 or 5 star review. After all, the tuna and crispy rice, chicken parm, caesar salad and everything else were delicious. Service was super friendly and attentive and the place was nicely decorated and inviting. But there were two flaws. First of all a restaurant leaning heavily Italian, should serve bread. Okay, so maybe the infusion of a few mediterranean and Asian dishes on the menu countered that need but it should have been an option. I thought that was weird. I 've never eaten Italian food without a loaf of bread or some rolls on the table. Bread does several basic but very important things in a restaurant. First of all it 's a welcome. It also sets the tone for a meal as well as gives you something to munch on besides your fingernails while waiting for your appetizers. It can also play a subconscious role in choosing your menu items. Spectacular bread brings your guard down and makes expensive menu options seem more reasonable. After all, if the bread is so good I can only imagine how awesome the entrees must be. Does bread cut into appetizer revenue, offering free food in place of something you 're going to pay for? Perhaps but I think its benefits far outweigh possible economic determinants. Second of all, and while some might consider this petty, they don 't do free refills. I paid $14 for two club sodas that were each refilled once. And we 're not talking Pellegrino here, just basic seltzer, carbonated water. I consider that ridiculous. I don 't mind paying well for excellent food and do so with great frequency but **** like that just pisses me off. It 's club soda, people. Water with some bubbles. In all fairness, our super polite server did tell us that they don 't do refills, prior to bringing them to the table but that doesn 't mean it was acceptable. It 's really sad or maybe I 'm just petty but after paying close to $200 for a pretty damn good meal served by some really nice people, I won 't be returning for a fairly stupid reason. Oh well...."

"What a hidden treasure! I have been living just 7 minutes away from this restaurant for quite some time, and I am upset that we only just discovered it. It is truly a fantastic and authentic Italian eatery. When we arrived early for our reservation, we were warmly welcomed by Jen and Luis at the bar, who served us excellent drinks and engaged us in enjoyable conversation. Our waiter, Mike, was attentive, had a fantastic personality, and provided us with excellent recommendations as it was our first visit. From the appetizers to the entrees, to the dessert with cappuccino, everything was incredibly delicious and made with fresh ingredients. We ordered the spiedino alla Romano, Shrimp Gratin, Chicken abruzzese, chicken milanese, house salads, flourless fudge brownie, cheesecake, cappuccino, and espresso. The portions were generous, and we ended up taking a lot of leftovers home. We are already looking forward to our next date night at this restaurant."

"I have to Pizzeria Mandara several times. Everyone always enjoys their meal and they bring out good fresh bread to start off. Courteous staff and good service. It gets crowded, so make a reservation if you want to be guaranteed a table."

"Walked in with a reservation. Restaurant failed to reserve a table for us. Once seated at a table not accommodating for our party of 5, no one ever greeted us, apologized for the wait,nor took our drink order. We were completely disregarded. After waiting over 30 minutes with no one ever approaching our table or checking in on us, we decided to leave. We have been loyal customers frequenting Pizzaiolo on the average of 2 times per month over the past 8 years. We’ve experienced a decline in the service since the manager left along with one of our favorite, long-standing waitresses. The experience is just not the same and this last visit was the clincher. It’s such a shame because it’s our favorite go-to restaurant for our family, and now we feel like we need to move on. Such a disappointment."
