"I frequently visit this restaurant because my father enjoys it. So, on Father's Day, I decided to get takeout for him. To my dismay, I discovered a piece of burned plastic that looked somewhat like an onion. When I took a bite of the taco I prepared, I encountered a hard chunk of plastic. It's concerning to think about what other contaminants we might be consuming at Mi Cocina. I plan to contact the health department about this and share my experience widely, especially since the rude manager, Luis, wasn't willing to address the issue properly. He only offered to remove the fajitas from my order, but I believe this incident was serious enough to warrant a full refund. On Tuesday, I will be speaking with his supervisor to show them what I encountered, as this has left me feeling extremely upset."

When Hungry for Mexican Food, there is 1 place that has it figured out. MI Cocina. They serve an All In item, that literally has one of every type of ite. On the menu. Not for the fait of heart. Try the DELUX 57. Its like everything, probably a spin off of the term Heinz 57.

We always have a great experience at Mi Cocina, and our visit on 08/05/22 was no exception. Great food and our server Ryan provided friendly and attentive service as always! Even though the restaurant was super busy he checked in with us regularly and took care of our needs quickly.

Another nice nice 03-06-22. Sitting outside enjoyed late lunch. Very good meal and nice atmosphere. Outside was a little loud with I30 being right there, but still able to have a conversation. What out for the margaritas! They are excellent and generous pours. Service was above average. So can't say it was awesome, but still very good!

Our server, David, was asked to welcome us, had such a good demeanor, made sure that our drinks were never empty, and was really only overall pleasant to deal with. He really offered us the best service? ve had in a long time dining room!! His pleasant and attentive disposition really turned out, and I even want to ask to sit in his section next visit. It has an excellent name and you would think this should be an amazing Mexican/TexMex restaurant but it's not. Saying it is average is being generous. There are better places doing it better. The food needs more flavor and the flour tortillas need tobe made fresh, they tasted like warmed up refrigerated tortillas. Not the flavor I want to pay for when I go out. For theseprices I expect the food to taste better than store bought and reheated at home.

First of all, our waiter, Ryan A., was absolutely excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations for someone who had never been here before. He has a fantastic personality, and I wish there were a Ryan A working wherever I go! The food was amazing. We had the cocinachangas, and they were flavorful, hot, and fresh. I also loved the hot sauce and chips. Thank you for being the highlight of my day! You made it perfect! View menu

Mi Cocina was a favorite of me for some time! Always great service and delicious food! Positive is that our server was super helpful and friendly. But I took a friend here last week for her birthday and the food wasn't so expected and not what I had earlier. I ordered the Brisket Tacos and she ordered the Spinach enchiladas, but both were cold when arrived and not the best quality. We waited quite awhile for our food (40 min) and were very hungry so we don't send it back! Also the dessert we wanted was outside, so we didn't get a dessert!! No good experience!

The restaurant has a fantastic name, leading you to believe it would be a top-notch Mexican/Tex-Mex establishment, but unfortunately, it falls short. While the portions are decent, there are certainly better options available in the area. The food lacks flavor, and the flour tortillas should be made fresh; instead, they are limp and reminiscent of reheated refrigerated ones. This is not the dining experience I anticipate when I go out for a meal. At these prices, I expect the food to taste significantly better than what I could easily prepare at home and reheat.

"On my first visit, I tried the Southern Shrimp and Grits, which were simply amazing—stone-ground cheese grits topped with sautéed shrimp, enhanced by a flavorful mix of peppers and bacon. Chef Jeff and his team use fresh sirloin in their chili, and it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. The food is exceptional, and the concept behind it is truly inspiring. I now volunteer here regularly. Chef Jeff and his wife, Julie, have a mission: "Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so that they may 'taste and see that the Lord is good'” (Psalm 34:8). Customers can choose to: 1) pay what they can afford, 2) pay the standard price for a similar restaurant, or 3) pay a little extra to help those who are less fortunate. This creates a beautiful and fulfilling experience. They are open for lunch from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. If you’re pressed for time, I recommend making a reservation and letting the hostess know. Diners are seated using a "paced method" to ensure the volunteer staff isn’t overwhelmed, but any wait is certainly worth it! Be sure to try the pour-over coffee or refreshing lemonade, and sample small plates like bruschetta or farro salad, as well as main dishes such as the apple bacon sandwich, crispy potatoes, burgers, shrimp and grits, and chili. And don’t overlook the dessert—it’s indulgent! I can’t express enough how much I adore this place!"
