"I must admit that it was hard to give Mi Sen a try because it is close to so many of my favorite veg or veg friendly places. But, it is definitely a great option. They specialize in Thai dishes, especially noodle bowls. All the veg options are clearly labeled on the menu, however, some (such as drunken noodles) contain egg. But they are very accommodating about omitting things for veggie folks. Everyone working here is friendly, and the restaurant is open and filled with natural light. I loved my meal; it was very tasty. Also, it was great to see some unusual items like lychee iced tea and taro rolls on the menu."

The food is delicious and the service is fast. Don't miss out on the Thai fries.

I ordered the crispy fried tofu, Thai fries without mayo, and Rad Na. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, and the servers were friendly and well-informed. View menu

had not really seen much on the menu, so I asked the waitress and they said most dishes were made to order so that everything could be made vegan. they made drunk noodles with a vegan sauce and added extra sweetness.

Thai food excels here. The menu is focused on noodle dishes with a variety of options to choose from. While there are fewer other dishes compared to most Thai restaurants, what they offer is done better than others we have tried.

got the drunk noodles (no egg, vegan made) and they had great taste! I didn't get as many noodles as I expected, but that could be because I added extra sweet. fried rice (no egg, vegan made) was also delicious! but my favorite must be the Thai pommes! I love the flavors they use, and the sweet one from the squash is perfectly balanced. so good! View menu

I decided to visit this restaurant after reading reviews on HappyCow and seeing that they offered many options for vegan modifications. I ordered the vegetarian rad na, a tofu/bok choy/noodle bowl in a gravy sauce. Unfortunately, the gravy was bland, so I asked for soy sauce to improve the flavor. The noodles had a burnt taste to them before I added the soy sauce, which made the dish unappetizing. I ended up only eating the tofu and bok choy, and had to eat something else when I got home. For a better dining experience, I would recommend visiting Green Elephant or Pom's Thai Taste instead.

I came in because I saw Mi Sen on HappyCow and also saw that they had plenty of options for modifying dishes to be vegan. I got the vegetarian rad na, a tofu/bok choy/noodle dish in a gravy sauce. The gravy was tasteless, I asked for soy sauce and essentially poured it in to make it better. The noodles which were pan fried prior to being added, had black char all over them and gave the dish that horrible burnt taste. I picked out the tofu and bok choy but had to have another meal when I got home.. super disappointed. If you’re on Congress and want a better meal check out Green Elephant or Pom’s Thai Taste.

"Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend. The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper. There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!"
