"This place was incredible! I ordered the 10-inch roast beef sandwich with all the toppings and mayo, and it was massive! The bread was so soft that the roast beef was tender and thinly sliced—definitely my favorite kind of sub! After a long flight, we were in need of lunch, and we were so happy to find this place on Google. We're even happier that we decided to come here; we'll definitely return every time we fly! I ate my sandwich so quickly that I didn't have a chance to take a picture this time, but I will next time! There was an older man working there, and I wonder if he’s the owner. I hope he knows he's making some wonderful sandwiches!"

They used to be really great, but now their food is over-fried in old oil, and we even found hair in our meal.

Love this place. Stop as often as I can coming or going from work trips out of Midway. Very friendly service, fast and fresh. View menu

Looking for someplace on the way to the airport and found this place. Gyro was stuffed with meat, great flavor. Also had a pizza puff for the first time.

wow talk about a fantastic submarine and a reasonable price. my favorite use pot belly’s, but midway submarines beat pot belly’s. I was so happy when I tried midways subs. I could see why they've been in business for thirty two years. I wish I could give them 10 stars. . View menu

During the pandemic it was my nephews birthday and I just knew it would be hard to find food for his party! This was also during the looting and EVERYTHING was closed! They saved our day and helped us pull off a yummy birthday! Thank you always for that Food amazing the staff are incredible

I work nearby and decided to try this place for lunch today. The sandwich I had was great, but the customer service was terrible! I have trouble seeing, so I asked about the price of the king combo, and the staff member said the prices are on the menu. I managed to find what I wanted and ordered a hot sandwich. When I returned five minutes later, she informed me that they no longer make hot subs. Despite that, I thanked her and went back to work. An hour later, my colleague called and asked if they had hot subs, and she replied that they do! This was my first and last visit—talk about discrimination at its finest!

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
