"We had an awful experience at this place today. I called beforehand to confirm they allowed dogs in the patio area, and they assured me it was fine. But when we arrived, they suddenly said dogs weren't allowed. I showed them the call record on my phone, but they denied receiving any call for all day and accused me of lying. When I showed them the call record on my phone, they said that is not their number. but later admitted it is their number, they just couldnt see at first. In addition, when I mentioned my dog was a psychiatric service animal, (which normally I prefer not to mention) they said they cant accept it since this is not service dog since I am not blind. I was in shock to hear this. We promptly left the pub. Overall, it was a truly horrible experience."

Just stopped in for a beer. Great patio! Wish I found it earlier in the summer. Thw waitress was friendly and provided great service. I'll definitely return!

It's a great place to relax on the patio during the summer. I haven't dined indoors, so I can't speak to that experience. I've only tried the fries and onion rings, but both were really tasty. Food rating: 4/5. View menu

An Edgewater institution since 1959. The Moody burger with fresh cut fries paired with a dark lager cannot be beat! I love dining in the outdoor patio in the summer and curling up in a booth near a fireplace in the winter.

I've always had a great experience at Moody's. We usually take our family there in the summer to enjoy burgers in the outdoor courtyard, but we also love dining indoors during the winter. It's such an iconic spot! Food: 5/5.

Last week was the first time we went there because my husband suggested it. NEVER AGAIN, the brioche buns where way bigger than the burger or the fish in their sandwich and the fries was soggy. Our waitress had an attitude because everyone was at the patio and we were the only one inside the restaurant, not sure if that bothered her or something. NEVER AGAIN- the food was not good and the service as well. View menu

Best beer garden! Very roomy lots of trees. It's like a party in the woods without the mosquitoes. Burgers, sloppy joes, salad, this place is a neighborhood gem. Nothing fancy, not trendy, just a wonderfully relaxing place.Vegetarian options: They have a good salad. Nothing fancy, but very fresh.Parking: The share a lot with the bank next door. Street parking in front is metered. Free street parking within 1/2 block.

Our server was fantastic—though I regret not remembering her name, she was an Asian woman who was incredibly friendly and attentive. She made sure our glasses were always full and kept track of our orders seamlessly. A big thank you to her for the excellent service! As for the food, it was outstanding—hot and beyond what I had anticipated. Kudos to the kitchen staff for their skill and dedication. The only reason I didn't give a full five stars is the drinks menu. I found the beer selection a bit limited, and the cocktail list could also use some expansion. Just a suggestion for improvement! Once again, thank you very much to the wonderful team at Moody's.

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
