"Ms. Tiny's Jamaican Cuisine is one of the finest Jamaican restaurants in Philadelphia! Ray Tiona ensures that your food is always fresh, expertly seasoned, and beautifully plated. The vegetables are cooked to perfection—never mushy, always al dente. Every dish feels like a feast for the eyes and the taste buds; it’s simply irresistible. Their catering service is PHENOMENAL!!!! I can't emphasize this enough: PHENOMENAL!!!! They genuinely take the time to accommodate your requests whenever possible. I’ve ordered a variety of dishes, including stew salmon, stew chicken, jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, vegan potato salad (amazing), vegan stew (incredible), vegan coleslaw (wow), kale salad (so good), and pot roast—you name it, we’ve tried it. If you’re not ordering from them, you’re definitely missing out. Now that you know, don’t just walk—run, or better yet, drive to Ms. Tiny's Cuisine. You won’t regret it!"

The food is quite good, but the person I spoke with on the phone was rather rude. I really didn't appreciate his tone!

I had the chance to taste Ms. Tiny's food at an event, so I can't speak to the service. However, the food was amazing! I tried the jerk chicken, oxtail, and curry goat, and I loved each dish.

I placed an order through Uber Eats, and the restaurant confirmed it. However, when the driver went to pick it up, the restaurant asked them to reach out to me to see what I wanted instead of the oxtail, which they had run out of. I ended up canceling my $35 order because the oxtail was the only item I wanted. As a first-time customer, I likely won't be giving them another chance. View menu

This restaurant is my top choice for Jamaican food in the area. I've sampled many items from the menu, and the jerk chicken and cabbage are truly standout dishes. I highly recommend trying them. The portion sizes are quite generous for the price, which I really appreciate. The staff is friendly and always delivers excellent service. It's a hidden gem that offers fantastic value for your money.

This was my first and last time ordering from this restaurant. I tried the jerk chicken, which consisted of just a small drumstick and a tiny thigh. I could barely taste the jerk seasoning. The cabbage was bland and needed some salt and pepper. It seemed like the chicken was baked instead of grilled. If you're in search of excellent Jamaican food with generous portions, I highly recommend J&J at 5513; it's the best I've ever had.

I was quite disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. I ordered turkey wings but only received one and a half, along with a large portion of beans and rice. The wings were dry, and it seemed like they were missing the skin. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant. If it weren't so far away, I would think about bringing the food back. Overall, I'm very unhappy with my meal, especially since this place had come highly recommended to me. View menu

I visited Ms. Tiny's for the first time, and it certainly met my expectations. I tried both the oxtail and turkey wing platters, and I thoroughly enjoyed each dish. The oxtails were juicy and full of flavor, and I was happily surprised that there were still some available after a busy Saturday night. The food was outstanding, and the portion sizes were generous—something I truly value, especially since many places tend to skimp on the oxtails and serve mostly bones. I will definitely be coming back!

If you haven't yet visited this restaurant, you absolutely need to try the food! And if you've already sampled their offerings, I'm sure you're eager to return for more—I'd even recommend going back for a third visit! The staff here are exceptionally friendly and professional, making you feel like part of the family as soon as you step inside. This place serves authentic Jamaican cuisine, prepared with care and love that makes every bite feel like a warm embrace. You won’t be disappointed—I assure you, everything on the menu is fantastic, but my personal favorite is the cabbage. They turn such a simple dish into a flavorful delight!

"I would like to personally congratulate the owner, Tony, on being the single reason why this is NOT getting a decent review. We arrived for a party on Saturday, with a reservation for a large group. Unfortunately, due to the weather, not everyone was going to make it, but the hostess in the group celebrating her birthday , let the servers know in the beginning that not everyone would be there, and mentioned it would probably be about 12 instead of 20. We cannot control the weather or other people. It would have been possible at that time to remove some tables from our group, but it wasn 't until a little while later that they did take one of the tables away. Even up until we were almost done, there were 3 other people who were supposedly on their way. I do not know them, and I do not know at this point whether or not they 'd had an accident, or whatever reason may have kept them from joining us. Fast forward 2 2.5 hours; we had eaten, we enjoyed ourselves, and the servers had been attentive. We already had our to go containers and were only waiting for the check at that point. Then Tony who hadn 't shown his face up until this point basically lays into us for not following the rules, and that we were seated without the whole party being there *not the guest 's fault* and they need us to go so we could free up the tables for other guests. Look, I get it. It 's a Saturday, probably your busiest night, and it 's a tiny spot, so space is at a premium, BUT we were LITERALLY about to pay $500+ and go and he not only embarrassed the hostess, but he made an absolute spectacle while doing it. Everyone was uncomfortable. The guests, the servers, other diners. But when I mentioned he could have handled it better, he not only agreed with me, but he also then DOUBLED DOWN on being a tool and escalated the situation to the point that the gentlemen in our group each got up to speak their minds as well. In ALL of my years in restaurants and management, I have NEVER spoken to a guest/customer in that manner, even if they deserved some sort of reprimand, and I would never have allowed another manager to speak to a guest that way. I guess being the owner makes Tony exempt from basic decency. In hospitality, it is one thing to get a customer in the door, but it is another to keep them coming back. Some of the party attendees were repeat customers, but I guarantee you, none of us will ever return here again. I 'm sure he 'll have something to say about this. He 's the type of narcissistic person that will not admit to their wrongdoing and will continue to double down on how he was right and we were wrong. And shall we throw in the fact that most of the table was not your color? I 'm sure it could have been different if we 'd all been the same shade. Tony, I hope you are happy with the fact that your awful behavior affected way more than just a couple of people that night. Have the day you deserve."
