Murray's Mac And Cheese

Seems to be closed … or opening hours are wrong (04/08/2022, 11:20am) Update: Tried it again in the evening and yes, store is open. Mac cheese is ok‘ish, meaning it‘s worth a try if you are around. Other than that it’s not a recommendation.

What a GREAT experience for my 11yr old. We spent the day in NYC and his one request was to find a Cheese shop. We decided to LUNCH would be at Murray’s Mac Cheese and it was excellent! The young man helping us was great! The lobster Mac Cheese wasto die for!

What an amazing experience for my 11-year-old! We spent the day in NYC, and his one wish was to visit a cheese shop. We chose to have lunch at Murray’s Mac and Cheese, and it did not disappoint! The young man who served us was fantastic, and the lobster mac and cheese was absolutely incredible!

I tried the original size, opting for one size up as a snack, which cost around $9. I found it to be just the right amount. I'll definitely return to try it fresh. However, I had to wait about 20 minutes before I could eat, and I found that it wasn't very cheesy or gooey. The wait times were a bit longer than expected, but I assume this is due to being short-staffed because of COVID and other factors.

Also, what happened to the cream? The béchamel? The melted cheese? It was tasteless, and the pasta was just mushy. For a cheese shop, you would think they would taste their product before serving it to customers. To make matters worse, the price for a small mac and cheese has increased from $6 to $10. I had an issue with my delivery because the dasher dropped my order off at the wrong address. However, the biggest problem was with the packaging. The grease from the cheese curds soaked through the flimsy paper bag, and as soon as I picked up my order (which was just down the street), everything fell out of the bottom and spilled all over the floor. I'm sure the food would be great if everything went smoothly, but I suggest investing in better bags.

Alright, let’s start by saying that I have been a really loyal customer for at least a year. The Mac cheese « WAS » amazing and excellent, creamy, rich and flavorful. Until today… (Nov 2022) To start, they are making the pasta in advance…and seriously?! They were not al dente at all but overcooked. So please, go back to the way you guys used to make them,fresh! Then, where was the cream?! The bechamel? Where is the melted cheese?! It was tasteless, pasta were overcooked. And fora cheese store you guys should at least try them before selling what I got today. On top of that, the price from the small Mac cheese went from $6 to $10. So $4 extra for less everything! I hope to go back to the same...

Murray’s Mac Cheese is located on the corner of Bleecker and Leroy Streets. this is a Mac Cheese joint that has some sandwich options. the interior is clean and brightly lit. currently indoor dining is closed—takeout and delivery. there’s adigital menu with a variety of mac cheese options (or build your own), hot sandwiches (grilled cheese varieties) and a fewsalads. there’s a large refrigerated of soft drinks, too. ordered the French Onion macaroni cheese: rotini pasta submergedin melted fontina and Gruyère cheeses, bacon, and caramelized onions. the flavors really tasted great together. the cheese andbacon were delicious, of course. thought the pasta was fine, but macaroni elbows would be...
