"I am not a big Italian fan, but my friends like the cuisine, so I went here. The food is not to my liking, but that's because I am not a fan of this cuisine. However, I can tell that I ate Italian food at my friends place that cooks good Italian food and that tasted much better than this place, so, I am only giving this place a 3 star. I am guessing that this is more like Americanized Italian, where all the tastes are dulled down. I like food that challenges my taste buds. The staff was friendly, but note that the ambiance is kind of dark themed with low lighting. The soup was excellent and I would strongly recommend it. Vegetarian options: There are decent vegetarian options. They can also customize most dishes to make them vegetarian."

"Our 5pm reservation was promptly honored on our arrival. The restaurant is in what appears to be a former airport administration building and sits nearly on the tarmac. We started our meal with a glass of local Texas winery Bending Branch Cab Sav wine. It was by far the best red wine either of us has tasted and well worth the semi expensive price. Next was Salmon Sliders and Potato Skins appetizers. The salmon was absolutely delicious. Cooked to a perfect crispiness. The potao skins were below average. They were either left over from lunch or held at a totally too high temperature post baking. Either of those will cause the edges to dry out and the potato meat to turn gray in color. The 6oz filets redeemed this one faux pas magnificently. Just melt in your mouth perfection. We had mashed sweet potatoes, cheesy grits and fruit with the entrees. My wife said the sweet potatoes were great but I never touch them so we will take her word for it. The grits were different from my usual Deep South experience but fantastic anyway. The fruit was cold, sweet and fresh. Our server, April was very well trained, beautiful and very intelligent. She graduates from Texas AM this spring. (If you cant go to Kentucky or Alabama then I guess AM will suffice. Lol) Overall Gate 12 was everything we expected and more including the beautiful view of the airport comings and goings. If we could fly anywhere in the world for dinner we would say no thanks and dine right here at Gate 12 College Station Texas."

"Never thought I could say this--but the wood fired pizza (the ones with the truffle oil--I did half n half) are better than Blue Ribbon Pizza in Encinitas, CA.... And that banana crumble is to die for. And the chomburie shrimp. And Augusta's Mac n cheese with lobster and more truffle oil on the side. No, I can't hardly move. Muy bad."

"I ordered a delivery from this restaurant and was shocked to find what appeared to be a cricket in the salad that came with my meal. When I called to report it, the hostess insisted it "must have come from outside" since she had personally checked the order. So, her theory is that this bug somehow crawled into the bag, got into the container, and then died within the minute and a half it took for me to pick up my order? The hostess kept stating that she inspected the order and it couldn’t possibly have come from them. The only solution she offered was a refund for the salad. After this incident, neither my girlfriend nor I felt like eating and decided to avoid the food altogether, worried about what else might be lurking in there. It was a significant mistake on the restaurant's part, combined with poor service in addressing the issue. I've attached a photo showing the bug after I moved some lettuce aside, and I'm thankful I noticed the half leg sticking out before I began eating."

"I have been taking my students and mentees here for one on one lunches, at least once per week, if not twice, since the start of semester. And I wanted to like it I really did because it 's convenient, fast service and somewhat healthy... but my experience today was awful. So then I thought, why am I doing this??? Today I ordered the lemon grass pork vermicelli bowl, and the chunks of pork ? , we 're ALL FAT! And because last week I ordered the Pad Thai, and it was also less than satisfactory...noodles in ketchup sauce with absolutely no resemblance to the amazing Thai dish but I settled and said nothing , today I decided to complain.Well... they looked at me, when I complained, like... how dare she! And then I had to wait for a manager to acknowledge my complaint and request for something else... and then 20 minutes later, when my student had finished their meal, my replacement meal arrived. It was chicken pho.So tell me... what other pho soup place do you know that serves, sliced chicken luncheon meat as a chicken in pho soup? Enough!I will take my $34 per visit somewhere else! Thanks but no thanks."
