"I must have been Vietnamese in another life. How else can I explain my infatuation with Phơ? It was a Sunday. Wifey and I were out for a quiet jaunt around the greater Newburgh area. Suddenly, we became quite peckish and decided it was time to feed ourselves something rich, tasty, and filling. We were in an unfamiliar area, in a town we generally tend to avoid, down a back road neither of us were familiar with. In layman 's terms: we were lost. Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering sign. I recognized a single word on the building front and told the wife to pull over. 'Phơ '. We stepped inside, and immediately, both our nostrils were filled with all the rich savory spices of southeast Asia. Olfactory overload. Salivatory glands: activated. We nestled into our seats, tucked our napkins into our shirt collars, and ordered our lunch. To start: Little Spring Rolls. Fried to crispy golden perfection, served with a cheeky, spicy apricot sauce. Next, chicken and veggies with Rice for her, and for the more adventurous type i.e.: me House Specialty Phơ. The broth was delicate, rich, and silky, loaded with intense scent of lemongrass and star anise. Small shimmering globules of rendered chicken, pork, and beef fat mixed with the faint aromatics of ginger, garlic, and basil. The toppings were a mix. Chewy beef tendon, thinly sliced filet mignon, sliced fatty brisket, springy dense meatballs, and crunchy honeycomb tripe. The noodles were cooked perfectly. Chewy and slick. The other toppings bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil, and lime were fresh and added great elements of heat, sweet, tart, earthiness, and crunch. Standard fare Sriracha hot sauce and Hoisin stored in squeeze bottles top the table and add a needed salty, spicy kick to the broth. But in truth, the broth doesn 't need any of that. It was perfect on its own. Atmosphereically (I know that 's not a word, but I 'm using it) the place had character. Very swank. Very Saigon chic. I totally dug it. Our waitress was well mannered, polite, and very attentive. A little slow, but otherwise, the service was great. Would I go back? Oh, without a doubt. This place was great! Sometimes, being lost brings you to the most unexpectedly delightful finds that feel familiar; and once you 've found something familiar, you 're not lost anymore, are you?"

The Pho was amazing, and the staff very friendly! There wasn't many people dining in, though, so it felt a little empty but if everyone reading this goes there, that won't be a problem next time! They definitely deserve your business! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

I've always passed by but never tried it. Until I did, and it was fantastic. The dishes are well-proportioned for the price, and plenty of appetizers exist. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try a new style of food. Not much parking available. Loved the atmosphere. All we got was 2 appetizers and they were delicious. Dipping sauce was very tasty. They brought out the appetizers at 2 different times so that we were thinking they forgot one. "DONT COME HERE IF YOUR NOT WHITE. The owners are extremely racist and they will make sure you feel uncomfortable as soon as u walk in; you just feel their eyes already judging you as u walk into the restaurant it’s the two overweight Italians specially the lady. I am a regular at this place I go there so much that the servers already know my order. The servers are very nice and friendly. I always tip them accordingly, I never have left without tipping except for today because our waitress left early so her coworker took the table and just gave us the check so of course like I’m sure any other person you wanna tip the person who actually served you but unfortunately she left for w.e reason so when we went up to pay we hit no tip on the machine and automatically the racist owner started giving us a talk about how she doesn’t know if we’ve ever went to a restaurant but it’s not the same as fast food and we have to tip.which is absolutely absurd and a crazy way to treat you guests, when you first of all don’t even know if we left cash on the table (which we sometimes do. My boyfriend actually knows the waitress we had today because it’s his cousin and was going to send her her tip through cash app to make sure she was the one who got the tip since she was the one who served us. Which I didn’t think I would need to give an explanation to anyone. Especially knowing that tipping isn’t even mandatory. She than pulls out her pen and says that we can add the tip on the receipt which I said no because our waitress left and she said it’s doesn’t matter you still have to tip it’s a group effort. At this point I don’t even want to tip at all because it’s just insane the way she is talking to us and demanding we tip which I have no problem doing because I am also a tipped employee. Personally I would never demand someone tips me and if I did I would never speak to someone so rudely like she did to us. She acted like we were caveman that have never stepped into a restaurant before knowing we go there many times a month. I bet if we were white she would never even have the courage to ask why they are hitting no tip. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!"

"tl;dr: awesome spot, reasonably-priced, delicious food, great service. wonderful neighborhood gem!we were debating btw this place and another spot, but this place ultimately won because i got drawn in by one thing and one thing only: the steak frites. the place was cozy and romantic, with a few tabled already occupied. they're currently offering an inflation buster prix-fix menu, for 1 app and 2 mains for $60 and that's what we went with. we got the following to try:-BBQ ranch chicken nachos: huge portion! juicy chicken breast strips, pico de gallo, ranch, bbq sauce, and melty cheese on crunchy tortilla chips. the pico had a nice tang to it, it wasn't your typical lime juice but i can't seem to put a finger on it. but really good! i do think it's better to cut the chicken into cubes than strips tho, for better chicken-to-nacho distribution ratio.-steak frites: comes perfectly cooked as requested (medium rare), served with bearnaise, fries, and garlic aioli. the steak was thick, meaty, and tender. the bearnaise sauce was awesome. we loved the garlic aioli and it paired well with the crispy fries. HIGHLY recommend this one!-brick chicken: seared, deboned half chicken (except the drumette, for presentation), served with baby potatoes, and mushroom/spinach in a marsala wine sauce. the chicken was nicely seared and juicy (yes, even the chicken breast), but a tad too salty for my taste. the marsala wine sauce was rich and creamy, but it does get a little heavy after a few bites.-lemon sugar crepe: light, tangy, refreshing.i also tried a cocktail but can't seem to remember the name of it for the life of me. i believe it was gin-based, with some kind of citrus. it was really tasty and well-balanced too. service was awesome, food was delicious, huge portions (we had leftovers), and just a really wonderful neighborhood gem. would love to stop in again if we're in the area!"
