Passing on the poke bowls and instead opting for cooked food, delish albeit over dressed. Maybe being in tourist town necessitates making IG glam food? Two tonkatsu dishes orders. Both feature a good sized piece of freshly fried, juicy pork. Both plates come with a fresh salad dressed with a house made miso sesame dressing. Both with a generous amount of short grain white rice; a perfect foil to the strong sauces. The Japanese curry version, bold and spicy. The curry is a sauce for the katsu, partially coating it. Big flavor punch that compliments the tonkatsu. The Nagoya style spicy miso would be outstanding if only the red miso was used. Unfortunately a heavy drizzle of spicy tonkatsu sauce overpowers the tonkatsu. Scrape the sauce off and it 's seriously good. Both dishes have a heaping of tenkasu (tempura castoffs). Not sure why as it didn 't add to the texture or flavor. Ordering note: Order online or use the tablet at the truck. The owner isn 't fluent in English. It makes the process much smoother. Japanese service (one of the owners was cleaning the tables fronting the truck an hour before they opened). Solid Japanese food from a totally unexpected source. Worth a try."

BEST POKE OF MY LIFEEEEE! I had it last nite and I haven't stopped thinking about it... yes, I'm going back today to get some more. I got the spicy garlic, and wow, it's so fresh, buttery, and delicious!! I swear I will remember this poke forever :

I've noticed this restaurant for a while, but I never had the chance to try it since Giovanni's is typically my first choice. This time, I chose to skip Giovanni's and give it a chance. I have to say, if you're craving Katsu, you should definitely check this place out! I ordered the regular pork katsu and a mini portion of the crispy ahi, and it was absolutely delicious! On the last day of my trip in Hawaii, i was reluctant to leave but my stomach was also dying from 2 weeks worth of amazing deliciousness. I needed some reprieve for heavy foods. Thanks to Yelp i stopped in this area and went straight to the No 7 Japanese Food Truck. I ordered Udon, on a hot evening and boy did it hit the spot. Delicious, light but flavorful, one of the nicest bowls of Udon i've had. Staff was nice and i will absolutely revisit on my next trip to Hale'iwa

This might be the best poke on the island! Whenever we're on the North Shore, we always make it a point to stop here. The poke is incredibly fresh, and the service is fantastic! The two ladies working there are very helpful and patient with any questions we have. We always order the Crispy Spicy Ahi plate, but this time we decided to try the Beef Udon. The ahi was amazing as usual, but the beef udon really stood out. The broth was packed with flavor, and both the noodles and beef were wonderfully tender. So far, I haven't had a bad experience with anything from the No. 7 truck. If you find yourself on the North Shore, you must check this place out. Their food is absolutely delicious!
