"We were there yesterday. Found the place on Yahoo. If the place was on the main drag it would have been packed. Quiet afternoon. We had the best hand breaded cheese curds/squares and onion rings. Great batter, fresh cheese, sweet onions. The coleslaw was a sweet sour marinade-great. Great turkey on cranberry bread melt and burger. Good meat. Great service from the bartender/server. Good prices. A little gem that is overlooked, but there are lots of good places in neighboring Alma and across the river in Wabasha. Very nice beer on tap. New Glarus. Nothing gets better then that unless they added Schells, but we were in Wisconsin."

The hand-cut, beer-battered cheese curds are excellent. So is the pizza, and so are the sirloin tips. We ordered a take-out haul and enjoyed game day after a long walk along the river.

This was in a tiny town a mile off the great river road near buffalo city wi. Seriously the best Ruben I have had. Piled high with meat and so tender. Friendly service. Worth the stop for sure.

I heard great things about the cheese curds, and they certainly lived up to the hype! The restaurant appears modest, yet it has a cozy and clean atmosphere. The service was outstanding, and the food was delightful! We will definitely be returning! View menu

I’d heard the food was good here but I was blown away by the Rueben. They make their own corned beef how many places do that? And pile it high! With great fries and beer it was a terrific find. Like the Michelin star people say, ‘worth a trip (from Minneapolis! .’ Thanks, NorthEnd!!

Great service!!! Enjoyed a burger, fries and drink. Drive across the bridge from Winona, MN to check off another state in my 50 states for 50 years tours. Find this little gem on Yelp. Small town local business with true pub atmosphere. By selecting to eat here, we were able to cruise 35N for one of the most scenic drives I've ever experienced. Taco Tuesday special was well worth the stop

This restaurant is a fantastic lunch spot that really embodies the cozy atmosphere of a local hangout, reminiscent of Cheers. It has a strong community presence and a loyal customer base. I enjoyed the Reuben, which was delicious and served in a generous portion. The bartenders, who I believe are also the owners, were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely make a point to return on my next road trip. View menu

The staff here is incredibly friendly! The thin crust pizza is excellent, and the beer is nice and cold. This small-town pub has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. I noticed some salads and dinner entrees being served at nearby tables, and they looked fantastic. I spoke with a couple who ordered the beef tips and Cajun BBQ shrimp, and they said those dishes were delicious! We decided to stick around to watch the 2021 Stanley Cup win. It's a perfect place to catch a game or gather with family, especially with the availability of larger tables.
