"The food I had was awesome. I dont know if they smoke their meat, if they do it could use more smoke flavor. Other wise it was a great meal, with great customer service as well. It was my first time trying them, and I'd definitely go back. So much better than ither chain places like famous Dave's etc. I also didnt get any fatty pieces. Which is bound to happen, but some places just give you all kind of gristle and fat chunks, not them. Their sauce choices were good as well. Really nothing bad about the place. This location was very clean as well."

As for kid-friendliness, they don't serve alcohol, and they have a decent kids' menu.

Food was awesome, very good and the employees are very friendly but the only problem I had was that it's not very disabled friendly because the doors are very heavy and hard to keep open.Food: 5/5

Ordered from DoorDash, not much good bbq in northeast Ohio and I liked the ribs, green beans, and baked beans a lot! Some collard greens with that smoked chicken or some smoked Turkey would be littttt on the menu. View menu

The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. The prices were fair, and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the place! They have an open kitchen, and everything was spotless. Overall, I would give the food a 5 out of 5!

I feel like royalty at the Rocky River location. I visit frequently, and each staff member has taken the time to learn my usual order and special requests. They all make me feel completely at home! It's the go-to BBQ spot for my family. Kid-friendliness: The kids' meals are reasonably priced and come in generous portions.

Stopped into the Old Carolina BBQ in Rocky River this evening with my daughter to grab some dinner before heading home. The manager Ali who took our order was beyond nice and super helpful, answering all my questions. The food was amazing, I highly recommend the brisket sandwich and my daughter ate all her food as well. Couldn't say enough good things about this place or the food. View menu

The food and staff are good, but can't believe how freaking cold it was on a 30 degree day inside. The restaurant corporate policy is to fix the temperature and not allow each restaurant to adjust the temp, even if customers complained. I wore a down coat and had to put on the hood, and I'm still chilly. Definitely would not recommend. No food or staff excellence is worth shivering for.

Bad bad I would give a zero but the ribs we're ok the coleslaw was nasty zero flavor who made the cloeslaw stop the pulled pork was dry as hell I mean it just not good barbecue. I've read the reviews and people say it's the best in cleveland not even close and they always forget the damn corn bread and don't get me started on the brisket I mean who seasons these meats there no flavor I won't be going back no worrie
