"SLO bbq joint with an outdoor counter order service and a self serve tap room for craft beers. Having visited here through our roadtrips, the food is consistent, specifically the recommended tritip sandwiches. Serving size is good enough though a bit on the smaller side. Orders with fries come with a huge helping of spuds. All service (during lunch experience) is via the counter. For the self service tap you are given a tap card after depositing your debit or credit card at the counter. The main draw for the place are the bbq and definitely the extensive luat of rotating beer tap offerings. The layout is very casual and much in a sports bar style. An outdoor picnic style area is also available. Good place for families and large informal gatherings annd for watching televised sports events. Vegetarian options: Very limited Parking: Nearby paid parking lot is easily filled and lots of tourist visitors ply the area Kid-friendliness: An informal and casual food place that is very suitable for kids during lunches Wheelchair accessibility: Access is relatively easy and dining areas are spacious"

Favorite spot to eat in slo, not too pricey and the tri tip is the best in the area!!

Love this place! The cowboy corn pies are my favorite, though I feel they aren't as good as they used to be.

I was expecting something a bit different. I little expensive Pulled Pork sandwich with no sides. 1 small side or coleslaw on top would have made me happy. The fries were very soggy and limp.

TWELVE DOLLARS for a sandwich. What a deal!!! Wait. Wait. Wait. What am I saying?!?!? LOL That was in 2021. Today, it's more like ... $14.25. For a sandwich. Fourteen dollars and twenty five cents. For a sandwich. (What's wrong with this picture?!?!

Saw a lot of people raving about the food here so I decided to stop in. It wasn’t bad but not worth hurrying in to try. The highlight of the meal was the garlic bread, they could keep everything else. The tri tip was pretty tough and I wasn’t a fan of the bbq sauce. View menu

An awesome experience all around! Ordered from the catering menu for a graduation lunch with Celiac and dairy considerations. Super easy communication! Kevin made the entire process so easy! The food was amazing and everyone loved it! I highly recommend Old SLO Bbq! Dietary restrictions: The menu was labeled with all the information making it easy for my guests to see what they could safely eat. It was perfect!

because parking in SLO is horrid, I walk the 1/2 mile to buy a BBQ chicken salad from them. their ribs aren 't good, but their salad usually is. I always leave a $5.00 tip on a $15 ticket (35% , to show I care about them. sometimes they forget the dressing or get it wrong or forget an ingredient. walking back would be a drag, so I don 't. not TODAY. today they forgot the BBQ sauce, the whole point of the salad. They don 't answer their phones, so I walked back 1/2 mile to get the sauce and then 1/2 mile back to work. they said oops! miscommunication . No offer of any kind to make up for their error and to hope I come back. I won 't go back because CARING has to go both ways. a $5.00 tip show...
