"Absolutely **** poor customer service. Foods decent as I 've eaten here before but never again. The hours are sporadic and the dining area small but that 's not really a problem. So I walked in here this evening and there were a good amount of people waiting and every single table was full.. no problem.. pretty small place. I waited in line for a table and was passed over a couple times just due to my looks... again ok whatever dude; I have tattoos and wear a hoodie and track pants but this AINT fancy place... but that was the EXACT attitude I received. I 'm a local and this place will NOT survive if they continue with that attitude. I was asked, out of order BTW, someone else behind us in khakis and a polo was put in front of us in line... our reply was you look busy, we just want 6 gyros to take with us and we 'll wait outside ... soooo we were told no takeout ... I get it if I call you and order but I don 't pick up that 's one thing.. but when you 're Fing full and I 'm trying to help you save space and make more money and YOU STILL BLOW ME OFF... well regardless to say F 'em ... we 'll never return and hopefully they can survive off of tourists next time there 's a pandemic... sooo GFY Olive Kitchen!!! Maybe start acting decent to people that look different because guess what B*tch we have wallets and friends too... anyway no worries I 'll make my own semi decent overpriced gyros at home next time....never again."

A absolute must stop on our annual family vacation. Boy the bring the MERAKI !! Baklava cheese cake , the kaftedes, pastitio and so much more! Even with only annual visits ya ya remembers us and takes time to visit! Hands down a favorite of the area &a must for this hidden gem!! Thank you again guys!!

Friendly staff and delicious Greek menu made for a wonderful experience for my wife and I. My only regret is that we couldn't enjoy every item available. The choices we made were extremely satisfying though. Eventually we will return and work our way through the entire menu. Service: Dine in Price per person: $20–30

Delicious Greek food hand prepaired and made fresh everyday. The wait isn't bad even with them being short staffed and the food is delicious. From appetizers to main entree and finishing off with desert they are made with the best ingredients you can get.Would recommend anyone to try this place or those looking for just good food this is a must have. We had the Greek salad with gyro meat, the classic Gyro, the watermelon gazpacho soup and the chicken Artemis. It was all fantastic but the chicken Artemis was especially wonderful. Finished with baklava cheesecake and Nutella baklava to die for. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area again. Service: Dine in

So delicious. I had the Cuban gyro and a side of the rosemary bread load. I never got tired of either. The gyro was a hefty size, but not too big. We sat outside which was shaded with patio umbrellas. Hope to come again on next years vacation. We didn't know what to expect when we popped into Olives for lunch, but few places were open in Manteo at the time, so we took a chance. What a wonderful surprise. We had a really delicious lunch (a salad, souvlaki platter with meatballs, and a gyro and it was the best Greek food we've had in some time. Wednesday lunch with my husband, 2 kids and our friends visiting us. Food great, service horrible! I can not recommend this restaurant based on the worst service I have had in the area. One waitress for a very busy lunch crowd. We asked to have one check spilt for $49 on one card and $42 on the other card and she was too busy so just could spilt it evenly. The waitress yelled out at one point for someone in the kitchen to seat customers waiting in line. Just hectic, busy and they shouldn’t be operating with one person and not being able to charge credit cards correctly. 2 stars for a great salad!

To start, we ordered the Mezede platter, and it was fantastic! Both my husband and I love green foods, and this dish was bursting with amazing flavors. Plus, it was vegetarian, which was perfect for my husband. We were already quite full from the platter, and even though we had considered just getting small salads to complement it, we had already placed our order.
