"My hubs and I were SO disappointed- we would have left one star if it weren't for the fact that their oysters were legitimately delicious. However, the service was rushed, the ambiance was cramped, and the rest of the food was actually borderline awful. We went for PDX dining month and got an additional dozen oysters- they shorted us two. Then the rockfish ceviche came out and it was palatable, but so heavy on the lime and avocado that you couldn't taste the fish. Last were the clams, and they were inedible. The broth was greasy and the clams themselves were overcooked. Unless you have a serious hankering for oysters, I would absolutely avoid this place. Not worth the time or money."

I absolutely love this place. Of course I love oysters, but what is special about the Olympia Oyster Bar is all the different preparations and variety of oysters that they have to offer. Everything they make is elegantly presented, unique, and delicious. Can't wait to go back next time I am in Portland. View menu

This was easily our best meal while in Portland everything was screaming fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. We really appreciated the kind servers, great suggestions and delicious cocktails. This is a great value for your money and if you love seafood or wine bars you will not leave disappointed!

The SERVER acted so inconvenienced by us being there. She was not genuinely friendly, but barely hospitable, as if we were putting her out by enjoying our first night out in months...not to mention tipping above 20%. We did so because we have 3 decades between us from the hospitality industry and we know it's hard work. I'll come back for the food because the oysters are amazing. But I will ask for another SERVER if she's working that night.
