Overlook Raleigh Downtown

This was not memorable. It's definitely a hotel restaurant for Residence Inn. The only redeeming quality is proximity to the Duke Performing Arts Center across the street.

I am sure this place would be better on a day where it is not so busy. Very short staffed, poor waitress could not get to everyone. We made a res and only got one round of drinks in an hour. Our food never came out nor our second round. We left dissapointed.

Our group tried 3 or 4 menu items. All agreed the food was excellent. Atmosphere was great for 5 people to have pleasant conversation and watch the city change over from day to night. Service was excellent and access to parking and the performing arts center was outstanding. Will definitely come back here again. View menu

Both Overlook and the Terrace are small space Terrace is at the top of the Radisson, Overlook on the 2nd floor but has a view. Very attentive wait staff, everyone friendly and helpful. Menu is simple but substantial. Food is reasonably priced, well prepared and presented but wine by the bottle is not worth it . Will definitely return.

The wait staff was friendly but not coordinated. We had two different servers who did not seem to know whether/if the other was also assisting us. I had to remind the server that I had ordered wine and had to ask that our check be rung up so that we could get to the show we were in town to attend. The food was delicious and the menu had a good variety. I'll go back to enjoy the outdoor seating when the weather is warmer!

Could be a wonderful place to dine before or after a show as it is convenient to the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts (DECPA), however it is not inviting. Lights were bright. TV's everywhere (should remove them all). Furniture was uncomfortable. Chairs not conducive for dining Several tables had dirty dishes and should have been bussed. We made a reservation for 6:00 on a Saturday night before a symphony concert at 8. That timing was perfect. The restaurant was very busy with large and small groups, typical for a Sat night. We did have to wait around 10 minutes before a server came to take our order. It took a little longer to get water and our drinks. We only saw 6 servers, so they were probably short staffed for a Sat night. The food was very good, though. We got one of the flatbreads each and a salad. Both were very generous portions and tasty. I will definitely visit again!

Reservation made had noted birthday celebration, it was never acknowledged and we the first customers seated 5pm. 3 other tables served before we even received our app. App was flatbread with mozzarella cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze . Bland . Salmon cakes were OK grits were good. Ordered 1 order of vanilla ice cream the 1 order cherry Bordeaux got 2 orders of vanilla . Waitress was overseeing all tables on terrace . Indoors was packed . With 2 drinks and 1 app 2 salmon cakes and 2 ice creams the total was $120 plus tax and tip and was not worth it

The restaurant was mobbed and was a lot of people waiting and apparently this is an issue where they over book. It wasn't enough weight staff handoff we had a 730 reservation and at that point. they were out of the special which was the prime rib, which my husband was looking forward to, and then they were also out of the steak. The food was good. I miss charged us after we told them, they fixed it. The waiter just seemed rushed and really wasn't focused. The functionality of the dining area is very odd, which makes it more crowded and not pleasant environment indoors tables of 2 and a bench and high tops everything's all over the place.  View menu
