"Additionally, the prices on the menu need to be updated. Charging $8 for two empanadas is excessive, especially since the menu listed them at $6. For the quality of food, I wouldn’t even say they’re worth $1; they were dry and flavorless. To make matters worse, they didn’t indicate whether the empanadas were beef or chicken, which caused confusion during our takeout since we ordered both. Overall, my experience was very disappointing, and I won't be returning to this place."

The service was good, but I want to be clear that this is not authentic Mexican cuisine. Food: 1, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 3.

Fantastic Mexican cuisine. I didn't even know this was until a friend told me about it. It's a small hole in wall restaurant that has some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The lady was super nice and helpful. 100% will be back

Ate there for the first time and loved it. Very small and personal. Staff was good food great. It takes a little bit of time to get your food because its cooked to order. Stop in here before a movie at the Gilson and you won't regret it.

Love this place! Lacey is great and also its servers. I've been here since they opened up and come on! Loves the Gilson who is next door, and it is a super sweet little spot for authentic tacos. Don't forget the creamy Haveero sauce! It's all!! View menu

I really liked that. We went through and stopped. I think it's a different name. It is small and cozy. The staff was friendly and personal. I had the best freshly made salsa when I had the recipe. Food was great, big portions. If you're in the area, you should try!

This place accidentally found, but what a blessing! Probably the best salsa and chips I can remember to have anywhere. Salsa is made fresh. My chicken nchiladas were delish and plentiful... they couldn't even finish. Very reasonable $13). The chef and the bartenders and dresses were wonderfully friendly. There was a glitter with an order and they made it happy in record time and then didn't let us pay for it. Let's hope we get the opportunity to return.

"I’m giving this place 2 stars only because it was clean and the atmosphere was acceptable. If you’re visiting from out of town, I suggest looking for other options. In my opinion, this place was quite disappointing. To start, the table next to us actually sent their food back as soon as they were seated, which raised a red flag for me. I really dislike leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I honestly can’t understand how this restaurant is still operating. I ordered a pizza, clam chowder, and a chicken dish. **Pizza:** The sauce tasted like it came from a can, and the overall quality reminded me of what you'd find at Chuck E. Cheese. I got half topped with eggplant and chicken, but the eggplant was terrible—either canned or rotten, and completely inedible. I expected chicken parm strips on the pizza, but instead received dry, unseasoned, and unbreaded chicken breast. **Clam Chowder:** This was actually not bad, but given the quality of the other dishes, I wouldn't be surprised if it was from a can. **Chicken Dish:** I believe I ordered the chicken napoletano. It was topped with eggplant, mozzarella, and vodka sauce. The chicken appeared boiled with no seasoning or breading, making it bland and tough. The entire dish lacked flavor, and I found myself adding a lot of salt just to get a few bites down. Overall, I truly don’t enjoy giving negative feedback, but I would describe the food as pretty terrible. To put it in perspective, my experience here was comparable, if not worse, than meals I had during my 10 years of service in the army. One last thing: I ordered a glass of red wine but had to send it back because it was corked. It left me worried about how long it had been sitting open under the bar. In short, save your money and seek out a better dining experience!"

"The Trib is consistent. That's why they're still in business and one of my favorite things about this restaurant. I have eaten here much more often than show my reviews and there is never anything negative to report. At the end of February 2022 we enjoyed steamed mussels with garlic bread, as it should be, a sequence of baked crabs and a special with sole with shrimps. Their salads are still plentiful, the baked rolls fresh and service is always friendly. Prime Rib Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. This Mother's Day, 5/10/20, The Tributary gave us a wonderful meal. Two main rib dinner, an oriental salmon and a crumpe sole. Four salads with many ingredients came with dinner, (multiple dressing options their blue cheese is exceptional and house Italian the right mix) There were also two bags of varied rolls and breads with butter packages. We decided to give The Tributary our business because they are really nice conscientious people, an institution in this part of the CT and the food is always reliable good. They recognized us as an estimated customer, gave us two free desserts! A slice of lime cake, which was one of the best I ever had, (and I bake a great self) and a slice of lemon balm, also delicious. Very thoughtful. In summary, the two Prime Rib orders were ordered, medium rare and medium well cooked. Both came with au jus on the side. The accompanying potatoes (not whipped) were tasteful, and the carrots, when someone who never served carrots with steak, somehow really worked here. There are few restaurants today that offer popover with dinner. Impressive to themselves for this reason, they are bright, large and the right density. The oriental salmon was tender and sweet. The green bean side was not undercooked nor limp. The rice pilaf was rice pilaf. Baked crab sole with crab plugs was satisfied with real crab meat and Hollandaise sauce. Green beans and rice were sides. I post the photos of this meal together with a few others I found in my photo archive of other fine menu choices, the hot opened Turkey Benedict Sandwich, a salad with roasted chicken strips and two coffee drinks. Fine, reliable restaurant that has served the area for decades, be it lunch or dinner. Full menu consisting of everything you would expect to see. Plentiful salad bar with many add to options and courtesy service. There is a separate bar room from the dining room. They are closed on Mondays. For Christmas they all go with decorations when you are in the mood to be happy."

"--- We enjoyed two quick dinners here that included house rolls and salads along with our wine, which was just what we needed. The Veal Francaise had a light, crispy coating and was juicy, served in a delicious butter, lemon, and white wine sauce. The Grilled Salmon Giordano was a small portion but cooked to perfection. Both dishes came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. However, the rolls were baked a bit too long for my liking. As for the ambiance, the choice of music videos playing on the flat screen in the main dining area didn’t seem to fit the atmosphere of an Italian restaurant, making it a bit distracting while we were trying to eat. However, I have to commend Noli's for their delivery service when we ordered for a group of eight during a lovely late October day in 2022. We placed an order for two pizzas – one cheese and one sausage with green peppers. The staff met us right on time with hot pizzas, plastic cups of soda as we requested, and provided us with napkins and utensils. The pizzas were delicious! Connecticut really has some of the best pizza around; whether you choose a high-end place or a casual spot, the quality is always impressive. Initially, after eating here in early August, I would have rated Noli's around a 3.6, but looking back, it was a decent meal in a comfortable environment with attentive service. Our waitress informed us that this restaurant is now called Chef's Bar and Grill, and Noli's was the name of the previous owner. When we first arrived for a quiet midday dinner with no other customers present, we found the interior quite attractive. There’s a cozy fireplace that they light during the colder months, which adds to the charm. Our waitress brought us two freshly baked garlic rolls, which were delightful in both taste and texture. The drinks from the bar were on the smaller side but decent. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer, which was average. Other starters included wings, bruschetta, mozzarella sticks, potato skins, and shrimp cocktail. The salads that accompanied our main courses were quite appealing, featuring a generous mix of ingredients like black olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and shredded cheese, with pleasant dressings. For my main, I tried the linguine with white mussel sauce. It’s been a while since I’ve ordered this dish everywhere, not because I dislike it, but as I’ve mentioned before, it can be difficult to get right – often overcooked. In this case, two mussels were tough, but four were tender. I appreciated the combination of fresh mussels with chopped ones, which made the dish feel complete. Overall, the linguine was worth ordering. My companion had fried clams, which were more reminiscent of mushy clam strips and likely used frozen clam pieces. They were unimpressive. The sides that came with this order were a mix of cold fries and warm ones. Overall, while there were some hits and misses, the overall experience was enjoyable. I would give it a rating of 4.0."
